JR's Blog: JR's Fast Lane Feedback, @MarkMaddenX on Ross Report, @HOBDallas Ticket Update, ROH PPV on FITE TV App

Hi everybody and thanks for paying us a visit. Talking to both Mark Madden tonight, (Monday) where we will review Sunday's WWE Fast Lane show and other news of the day, plus tonight I will catch up with the great, ring announcer Gary Michael Capetta who will talk to us about his amazing career and life after wrestling for a future, Ross Report Podcast on @PodcastOne. A new, Ross Report podcast drops every Tuesday night at 9 PM ET/ 6PM Pacific on podcastone.com and iTunes. I appreciate your support helping us build our podcast by downloading it every week for FREE!

WWE FAST LANE FEEDBACK:

I thought the show was overall a solid presentation that had some good moments but it also had its ugly moments. Many fans of the vocal nature doth protest loudly but is that news? I think not as it's seemingly the norm these days. I might be wrong but it seems that too many fans are obsessed way too much regarding pro wrestling creative.

The show featured too many wrestlers who did not sell with consistency which is becoming a head scratcher and it's a sad commentary as to where the business is apparently heading. I wonder at times if the decision makers who are running various wrestling companies even closely watch their own product and not only WWE. Talents seem to be hellbent on getting their 'sh*t' in and little else.

The Kalisto vs ADR US Title match should have obviously been on the Fast Lane show and not on the pre game show. The match was fine but it was misplaced. Happy that Kalisto won. Will your US Champion ever do promo?

The Women's tag bout that opened Fast Lane was good. Becky Lynch may be the unsung, biggest evolving female star on the roster. She has the 'it' factor that is essential for getting over. Naomi is another talent who doesn't get enough credit for being as good as she is. Without question Sasha Banks is going to be a huge star in the making if she continues to grind away while getting better.

Enjoyed the Kevin Owens vs Dolph Ziggler match by and large. Hard work. Physicality. Almost a hardcore match in feel. The match could have used more selling and fewer super kicks, IMO. Is it time for Ziggler to step away and freshen up with a new look?

The 6 man tag was better than I expected but I thought the Wyatts would win. Apparently, the Wyatts are not being placed in a key position going into Wrestlemania Texas or so it seems. Who did his match help or what story did it forward?

The women's title bout was good. It was a little sloppy regarding execution at times but the overall story was solid. Surprised that Daniel Bryan was no where in sight. Why?

AJ Styles vs Chris Jericho was an excellent match. Enjoyed the pace but a little more timely selling would have helped it. Jericho kicked out of the 'Styles Clash' which mildly surprised me and has apparently infuriated some of the IWC. Nonetheless a good night for AJ.

While I love Edge & Christian and enjoyed the new TV show on the WWE Network that I watched after Fast Lane, this in ring segment with New Day was challenging to watch as I felt that it went too long. Is the entertaining trio of New Day really heels? What makes them heels?

Axel vs Truth...why here? Talent put into a tough situation as no one involved was over and the live crowd could have cared less for this presentation. I will say that the talents worked hard, to their credit, but this was a no win scenario for all involved.

The main event was really solid whether one likes the chosen winner or not. Reigns winning has some hardcore fans on the ledge it seems because it was predictable which doesn't bother me whatsoever. I thought Reigns would continue on the journey that has been outlined by WWE. Reigns roadmap to Wrestlemania is what it is and I choose to let this matter play out before convicting the entire storyline. In other words I am adhering to the old philosophy of "Lighten Up Francis" as it's pro wrestling and not life or death, real life situations.

Brock Lesnar is as unique an athlete as I've ever seen in the pro wrestling business and I've been a fan for over 50 years. Lesnar is WWE's most charismatic star only to perhaps be rivaled in the charisma department by the newly signed Nakamura.

Babyface Ambrose vs babyface Lesnar, if it happens at 'Mania, isn't resonating with me just yet but there is no doubt that it will be a compelling presentation come April 3.

I'm heading to Las Vegas this week to participate in a press conference that will reveal my next broadcasting gig of which I'm excited.

Based on Monday morning's ticket counts for my three shows in Dallas at the House of Blues, we are trending to sell out all three shows and I suspect that all our tickets will be sold by the week of the Wrestlemania Texas. www.ticketmaster.com is your ticket source. I encourage you to get your tickets soon if you plan on joining us.

Thanks to those who saw the AXSTV promo with Josh Barnett and me that is airing on AXS. Our first show is Friday night March 4 at 9/8CT.

I'm watching the ROH PPV Friday night from Vegas on the FITE TV App. Download the App for FREE.
