JR's Blog: Austin on Ross Report Podcast This Tuesday at 9 ET! @HeymanHustle & BROCK, @HOBDallas Events, WWE HOF Predictions, Congrats @Sting!

Posted: Jan 12th 2016 By: Jim Ross

Greetings to all and thanks for stopping by our site. We celebrate our 100th Ross Report podcast Tuesday night at 9 pm ET by welcoming our friend and fellow WWE HOFer @steveaustinBSR to our show. This is a monster show with Steve answering a ton of Twitter questions about his career, today's WWE and his plans on being at Wrestlemania, or not, this year. Check out this blog for more of the questions that I posed to the Texas Rattlesnake.

Speaking of Wrestlemania weekend in the Metroplex, tickets for my three, RINGSIDE with Jim Ross and Friends Shows Saturday April 2 and Monday night April 4 at the Dallas House of Blues are still available starting at $20 at www.ticketmaster.com. I will have a different surprise guest for each show to participate with me in the unfiltered Q&A's that we will be doing for all those in attendance. I hope that you can make it and we will also be bringing some JR's products to sell at the merch stand including air travel friendly JR's Beef Jerky and JR's All Purpose Seasoning. Remember that the @HOBDallas is only an eight minute walk to the American Airlines Center where WWE will present the HOF Ceremony and Monday Night RAW.

Stone Cold and I have a blast on this week's Ross Report and my board op said that he could have listened to us for hours instead of the near 90 minute show that we recorded Sunday afternoon. Here are some of the questions that I threw at Steve:

Better for WWE, Reigns the heel or Reigns the 'face? Thoughts on the rash of injuries WWE is enduring? Why so many injuries now? What are your thoughts on women's wrestling and where do you see their role in today's product? If you had not been injured, hwo long did you see your career lasting? Would you book NXT matches or a match at Wrestlemania? Is now a good time for WWE to bring back Bill Goldberg (@Goldberg) to WWE for a farewell match/weekend? If you could drink a beer with anyone alive or dead, who would it be? Did you seriously considering facing @CMPunk a few years ago? Can AJ Styles become a main event level talent in WWE? What are your thoughts on WWE signing Shinsuke Nakamura? Who do you want to see in this year's WWE HOF class? What is a "White Meat Baby Face?" Will a WWE Authority Figure storyline still work? What are your favorite Wrestlemania Memories? What are yor plans for Broken Skull IPA Beer? Was Gino Hernandez an influence on your career? Should WWE reduce or eliminate the live event touring schedule to help eliminate the number of injuries?

Steve also shares the details of a road trip that he and I took in Arizona that you will enjoy. He also sheds some light on Steve and @TheRock going to Vince McMahon and lobbying for me to call their main event at WM15. Cool stuff.

WWE needs to heat up @HeymanHustle and Brock Lesnar tonight on RAW as Lesnar is WWE's biggest star especially in light of the irregular number of significant injuries that they are attempting to withstand. Pull the trigger and engage the Beast Incarnate in NOLA. Do it early before the National Championship College football game between Clemson and Alabama kicks off.

My predictions for the WWE HOF this year include: @Sting, @MichaelPSHayes and the Freebirds @JCLayfield, @JackieMooreTx, @Goldberg, and Stan Hansen. Not bad for a first pass. I see that WWE agrees with the headliner as they tabbed Sting as the first inductee in the 2016 class earlier on Monday. Great selection and a ll deserved honor for a man that I've known for 30 years and have been privileged enough to broadcast some of his biggest bouts. Steve Borden is one of the nicest people that I've known in the business.

My guess is that Ric Flair is Sting's presenter as they have a long history with each other , I called their classic, 45 minute draw at the first Clash of Champions in Greensboro back in the day with Ric vs Sting on TBS. I first met Sting in 1986 which is 30 years ago! Wow, where does the time go?

For the record, I do not see a Sting vs. Taker match ever happening but I could be wrong. Hey, people still ask me about this daily.

www.wweshop.com is fully stocked with JR's products for easy, online shopping.

We are on Facebook at JimRossBBQ.

BTW...don't sleep on how NXT's Jason Jordan can and likely will do when he gets to the main, WWE roster. The former Indiana University heavyweight has a great look & personality plus he's an educated young man who 'gets it.'

Q&A's elsewhere on the site are updated. Check them out and feel free to submit a question of your own.

We've had Jeremy Borash, Ariel Helwani, now Steve Austin the past few weeks and next week Lex Luger on the Ross Report which you can subscribe to for FREE at iTunes.

Our camp is hoping to make a couple of announcements on some new projects that I will hopefully soon be getting involved. We're close so stay tuned.

Even though I'd like to see @ClemsonFootball win the National Title game tonight vs Alabama that will be a major challenge for the #1 ranked team in the land. Hoping for a fitting game considering it's the grand finale. I'd take Clemson and the 6.5 points.

Have a great day and enjoy Steve Austin on the this week's Ross Report which drops on Tuesday night at 9 pm ET at podcastone.com and iTunes.

Boomer Sooner!
