Jerry Lawler and his girlfriend Lauryn Laine McBride were involved in a head on car accident on October 31st while driving home from a party when a car ran a red light and hit them. Lawler escaped without a scratch but McBride suffered face swelling after being hit by the airbag and a knee injury. She posted on her Facebook "Not exactly how we expected to spend our Halloween, but while on our way home from dinner a girl ran a red light and hit us, totaling the car. The airbag deployed, hitting me in the face (hence why I look like Sandy the Squirrel from SpongeBob), causing the swelling to my face...have to wear a silly brace and crutches for my knee for the time being. Thank God we are okay other than that and I think Jerry is Superman. Not a scratch or anything. He tried to cover me to save me from the airbag before it deployed. Thank God for my sweet BFF Haley Sterling Campbell for taking good are of me at the hospital tonight." Lawler posted pictures of he wrecked car on Twitter which you can see by clicking here.
WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins recently appeared with CBS Radio Dallas 105.3 The Fan. During the interview, Rollins commented on Sting?s injury at the Night of Champions PPV and how Sting is doing now. he said ?Obviously, being in the ring with a legend like Sting, who I believe is from Dallas [Texas], actually, that was wild, dude. Sting and I had a conversation after the match. I mean, it wasn?t like he was completely out of it. He just had a little bit of a scary situation. You?ve got to hand it to the guy. I mean, Sting is 56 years old. That?s incredible. I?m 29, so, I mean, the fact that he was able to get in there and do the things he did for that match and stuff, it?s really a testament to how good of shape he kept himself in over the years and stuff like that. And, it?s not ballet. We don?t get in there and dance around, so it?s physical and he pulled no punches and he wanted to go all the way, balls to the wall. It?s good to hear from him and I?m glad he actually had some really kind words to say about me as well, so I appreciate that coming from someone I looked up to quite a bit when I was younger.?
Ric Flair noted on his podcast that he tore his achilles tendon last week during WWE?s tour of Mexico. Flair said that he thought that he would need surgery last Monday but doctors injected him with stem cells and his ankle is not totally healed but he can walk around normally. Flair said that he feels good and he dodged a bullet. Also, ESPN cameras recently filmed a "30 for 30" special on Flair. Flair said that 6 hours were filmed this past week and they will be filming more footage at "Survivor Series". They will also be using footage from WWE?s library. ESPN will focus on Flair?s life including the airplane crash in 1975, his wrestling career, and his children Reid, Charlotte, Meghan, and David.
During the most recent edition of "The Ross Report" podcast, Jim Ross was critical about the ending to WWE's "Hell in a Cell" pay-per-view event which involved The Undertaker and Wyatt Family to close the event. Specifically, Ross felt WWE missed an opportunity to feature young, up and coming talent to make the save for Undertaker. He said ?If you?re like me, you?re wondering why didn?t somebody, some kid, some young star, come out to help the Undertaker after all the Undertaker has meant to the [professional wrestling] business. Wouldn?t you think some of those young bucks would come out and try to help Taker and then get shut down by the bad guys? It would give the Wyatts somebody to work with because they aren?t going to work with the Undertaker every week on [WWE Monday Night] RAW.?
America's Most Like Wrestling held "The Cornette Cup" on October 25th in Winston-Salem, NC. The Cornette Cup was won by current NWA World Tag Team Champions The Heatseekers (Elliot Russell & Sigmon) in a Tag Team Gauntlet Match. They also won the AML Tag Team Titles in the same match.
Legendary pro wrestling promoter Jerry Jarrett, who co-founded TNA with son Jeff Jarrett, noted on Facebook that he?s preparing to get back into the business. He wrote ?Don?t you just love it when a plan comes together. I once stated that I would get back in the wrestling business when hell froze over. I?m feeling a chill in the air. It is a bit early to announce the plan, but the contracts are with the attorneys. If you wishes for wrestling like it was, you will have a chance to tune in.? No word yet on what Jarrett is getting involved in but he and son Jeff are on speaking terms these days, so a role with Global Force Wrestling is possible. PWInsider speculates Jarrett may be getting involved with the Classic Wrestling Revolution promotion in Las Vegas, NV. This is the promotion that is planning on giving wrestlers benefits and planning on having legends like Jake ?The Snake? Roberts teach old-school wrestling.

?Superfly? Jimmy Snuka was arraigned Monday morning in Lehigh County Court in Pennsylvania for the killing of his mistress Nancy Argentino, a case from 1983 which went cold until it was re-opened by the District Attorney following an investigative report in the Morning Call newspaper. Snuka's lawyers entered a plea of not guilty before Judge Kelly L. Banach. A preliminary hearing set for last month was bypassed to fast track the case in front of a jury. The prosecution filed the motion to bypass and Snuka?s lawyers agreed. The 72 year old former professional wrestler was charged on September 1st with third-degree murder and involuntary manslaughter after a grand jury determined he repeatedly assaulted Argentino in the former George Washington Motor Lodge in Whitehall Township, PA then left her in bed to die. Snuka's ex-wife picked up the tab for the 10% of the $100,000 bail the day he was arrested after turning himself in.
Judge Kelly L. Banach who is presiding over the Jimmy Snuka court case issued a gag order on all participants from both sides after Chief Deputy District Attorney Charles Gallagher III requested it following statements he called ?blasphemous" by Snuka?s defense team last month. Gallagher also said that he was contacted by the NBC show "Dateline" to tape something for the case with defense attorney Robert Kirwan acknowledging that the Argentino family is working with the network for an episode. The Judge said that she would not permit this case to be tried in the press and ordered everyone not to speak publicly about the case outside the courtroom. Proceedings will remain public. The defense attorney is also pushing for an out-of-county jury due to the media attention the case got according to Sarah Cass of LehighValleyLive.com. Snuka is suffering from stomach cancer and also from dementia and defense will try and present Snuka as not fit to stand trial. Another hearing is set for December.
