The Scoop

NEWS
There?s been a lot of talk within WWE that The Fabulous Freebirds will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in Dallas next year. Apparently it?s considered a lock, according to PWInsider. WWE management recently celebrated Michael Hayes? 20th year with the company.

Ric Flair was backstage at last night?s RAW in Memphis, TN to watch daughter Charlotte face WWE Divas Champion Nikki Bella.

There was no dark main event after last night?s RAW in Memphis. After the show went off the air, Sting and John Cena celebrated before having the arena give it up for the 7 year old girl who was shown on RAW after learning she was cancer free last Friday. Cena and Sting congratulated and hugged her.

New names added Monday to the WWE 2K16 roster are Baron Corbin, Big E, Bray Wyatt, Brian Pillman, Colin Cassidy, Enzo More, The Usos (Jimmy Uso & Jey Uso), Kofi Kingston, The Ascension (Konnor & Victor), Mark Henry, Mikey Whipwreck, Ricky Steamboat, Rusev, Savio Vega, Stephanie McMahon, Sting (two different Sting characters, the late 80s Sting and Crow Sting), Stunning Steve Austin from the Dangerous Alliance, American Badass Undertaker, Ministry of Darkness Undertaker, and Xavier Woods.

WrestlingDVDNetwork.com has revealed some of the matches for WWE?s ?Owen: Hart of Gold? DVD and Blu-ray that comes out in December. One of the matches listed was The Hart Foundation (Bret Hart, Jim Neidhart, Owen Hart, The British Bulldog, & Brian Pillman) vs. Steve Austin, Ken Shamrock, Goldust, & The Legion of Doom (Hawk & Animal) from WWF's "In Your House: Canadian Stampede" on July 6, 1997.

On Friday, WWE filed a motion for sanctions against lawyer Konstantine Kyros in the lawsuit where he is representing Michelle James, Matt Borne's next of kin. It covers the same things they have been crying foul about for a while, like allegations of forum shopping, getting another lawyer to file a case so it wouldn't be discovered that he was involved, defaming WWE in his complaints, among others.

WWE Network has posted a link where Sting comments on his upcoming "Night of Champions" match. He said "I?m not here to shake hands and I?m not here to make friends. I?m here to win the one thing that has evaded me my entire career. At Night of Champions, I will defeat Seth Rollins and become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion. So come back and let?s make history together? whooo!"

Jim Ross will be doing a talk show at 4pm on Sunday at The Warehouse Live Ballroom, near the Toyota Center in Houston, TX which would be over with time to eat dinner and still attend "Night of Champions".

The Flipps App announced Monday a partnership with both TNA and Ring of Honor to stream their pay-per-view events. For ROH, they will stream worldwide Friday night's All-Star Extravaganza show. They will not only stream TNA "Bound for Glory", but also the "One Night Only" series shows. The first two will be "TNA Legends", which airs TNA footage of Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage, Sting, Roddy Piper, The Road Warriors (Hawk & Animal), Ric Flair, Jeff Hardy, Mick Foley, Rob Van Dam, Scott Hall, Kevin Nash, and Jimmy Snuka. Not exactly the best timing to be pushing Jimmy Snuka though. The other is a World Cup PPV special taped months ago.

Global Force Wrestling quietly announced this weekend that their upcoming Texas live events are being postponed until 2016 some time. PWInsider notes that the main reason for the change appears to be Jeff Jarrett going to the United Kingdom that week for GFW business. With GFW in its current state, they don?t want to run an event without Jarrett there to direct things. There were also timing issues with that weekend as some of the talents already had Japanese commitments and even the ?Legend? that they were bringing in that weekend as the special guest had to be changed. There was also some GFW concern over WWE and NXT running in the same markets this month during Night of Champions weekend as it may have been harder for GFW to follow WWE in that market just a few weeks later.

NWAClassics.com has posted new matches featuring Ted DiBiase & Steve Williams vs. Jim Duggan & Butch Reed, Adrian Street vs. Johnny Mantell, Magnum T. A. vs. Ernie Ladd, and Wahoo McDaniel vs. The Spoiler.

Raj Giri of WrestlingInc.com recently interviewed Dallas Page. When he was asked if he was surprised Sting signed with WWE, he said "I wasn't surprised, only because of what happened with the Network. When the Warrior came back, I thought that was brilliant. Short lived, God bless him. If you can be happy for a guy who was banished on his own, and had a lot of confrontations. None of that happens without Triple H making that come together. When I saw him come back, and the programming isn't what it once was. Sting would never come back if the show went from Attitude Era to PG13. There's a lot of born-again Christians, but Sting really lives that life. If he tells you something, you count on it. Sting is maybe the smartest guy ever in our business. You look at all the guys on top, outside of Rock because he's in a different world, he may be one of the smartest guys. Who's had the run that he's had? He left WCW when it was over and didn't let anyone have him. He sat back with his money and waited for the right deal. He signed with TNA, got exactly what he wanted and made stupid money again. When it was the right time for him to show up in WWE, he did. Vince McMahon wanted Stinger. If you're going to own all of wrestling, you need to have Sting in there. He got to work a main event at WrestleMania. He didn't go over, who cares? He was in a main event and turned out to be a great match. It isn't what he'd be able to do ten years ago, but he's 55. The son of a b---h, he was booked so beautifully his whole career, and anytime he wasn't, he made the best of it. I thought it was great for the WWE, great for the Network, and Steve will be a guy you can count on. If he says he'll do something, he'll do it the right way and do it with class." You can read the entire interview by clicking here.

Nick Hausman of WrestleZone.com recently interviewed Ric Flair. In the interview, Flair talks about his daughter Charlotte?s success, John Cena tying his record, Eric Bischoff?s comments about his run in WCW, his "Wife Swap" with Roddy Piper, and more. During the interview, he talks about fans comparing Charlotte to MMA fighter Ronda Rousey. He said "I hear the comparisons all the time and I?ll be the first to promote them. If Ashley (Charlotte) had six months to train with someone that is really qualified to take her to that level?not a conditioning level. It?s not a conditioning issue or a strength issue, she?s strong as a lion all day long. She?s about 15 or 20 pounds heavier and she?s strong. She can bench press 185 pounds. I don?t think Ronda can do that but Ronda has had years of conditioning and training. I can tell you right now Ashley (Charlotte) is not afraid of her. She would need training, obviously, to compete with someone like Ronda who has done so well and is such a big star. Ashley (Charlotte) respects her so much. They?ve met and she just thinks Ronda is an awesome person. I would love that fight to happen." To listen to the interview, click here.
