Great week to be in Oklahoma as football season starts this Saturday as the Sooners host the Akron Zips before another sell out house with many unanswered questions to address in game atmosphere. Time is also drawing near for my RINGSIDE w/ Jim Ross Show in Knoxville at the International on Thursday September 10 which is just two days before OU plays at Tennessee in Knoxville at Neyland Stadium. Tickets for my Knoxville show are limited and start at $20 at www.ticketweb.com. Be a VIP and get one of the few meet/greet/photo op tickets to my first ever event in the state of Tennessee.

So, Sting starts off RAW tonight at the beginning of the show and one would have to think it will be a broadcast long story arc as Sting certainly hasn't been over exposed leading into his September 20 Night of Champions title challenge to Seth Rollins in Houston. I will do our RINGSIDE Show hosted by 610AM's Sean Pendergast at 4 pm at the Warehouse Live Ballroom at 4 pm which is only a 10 minute walk to the Toyota Center where NOC will be presented. Hit both events w/ one parking space as my show will be over in plenty of time for you to make NOC easily. Tickets for my Houston show, my only Texas date in 2015, start at $20 at www.ticketfly.com.

The Sting-Rollins NOC Title bout is intriguing to me on a variety of fronts. It's great to see old friend Sting get to headline a major WWE event even thought as I write this he has yet to win a WWE bout if you're keeping score at home. Perhaps tonight will change that piece of business unless WWE is 'saving' Sting's next in ring appearance for NOC. Rollins is evolving into a top hand without question and it will be interesting to see how he and Sting compliment each other's strengths on September 20 in Houston. I like the booking. I think the match will out perform some skeptics predictions and that it should be a significant night for young, Rollins. Or does Sting score the upset and Sheamus cashes in the MITB Contract to become the Champ? I assume any thing is possible but I see Rollins retaining.

Sounds like the Divas, is that term either over used or dated, will be featured prominently tonight. Let's see if they work a body part while the announce team embellishes their skill sets. Keeping their presentation straight forward will appeal most to the TV viewer and will hopefully resonate with the live crowd in Tampa who are no strangers to most of these women. Very curious as to what direction creative takes these women....I mean Divas.

I missed the Hulk Hogan on ABC appearance Monday morning and it will be interesting to see the fallout or lack thereof will be on this matter as the week progresses. I've never considered Hogan a racist but obviously his choice of words is unacceptable in any environment. Hopefully, his public will forgive him and he can get on with the business of being "The Hulkster" and earning a living of which everyone has the right to do. Forgiveness isn't a foreign term and can still be done in today's cynical world if the individual seeking forgiveness is sincere and I have every reason to believe that Hogan is sincere as his rant was embarassing and humiliating with the ability to completely wreck one's career.

Sad to hear that TNA's now suspended Bram has been arrested on two, felony counts of domestic battery in Florida. It might be challenging for the Brit to keep his credentials to stay in the USA under these circumstances considering that he has an existing arrest record that prompted him to get released by WWE. The entire matter is unfortunate as Bram aka Thomas Latimer is a solid talent who I thought had a significant upside when I first saw him in WWE developmental. I'd be shocked if TNA retained his services if these charges are validated. Plus, one has to feel empathy for the alleged victim.

Really have gotten some great feedback from those that have listened to our latest Ross Rport with PWInisder's Dave Scherer that's up now at podcastone.com, iTunes, and the homepage of this site. Give it a listen if you haven't and subscribe to the Ross Report podcast for FREE at iTunes.

Did a powerful interview with WWE Hall of Famer Scott Hall a couple of days ago and it will go live on foxsports.com Tuesday as I understand it. This was Scott being amazingly candid about his drug and alcohol issues and how he is addressing his situation and where he is as a Father, HOFer, and a guy who still has to go out and earn a living. I hope that you will check out this compelling interview. Scott has one of the best minds in the wrestling business, for the record.

Two of my favorite people celebrate birthdays today as Mickie James and Jeff Hardy were both born on August 31. I wish them both many more happy birthdays and miss the days when we worked together.

Have you checked out www.nwaclassics.com yet? Take a minute to look it over as the Boesch-Houston Library is one of the best that you will see and is one of only a handful that WWE doesn't own.

The Q&A's here are updated. Still getting questions as to why heels need to cheat to be effective pro wrestling villains. If villains don't cheat or have significant, negative social skills then why are they villains? If these squared circle bad guys are more concerned about being cool and selling swag then their road to becoming a true, marketable villain will be long and there is no guarantee that they will ever reach their destination.

That's not being 'old school' but simply

playing on people's basic, human nature.

I will be talking to TNA World Champion Ethan Carter 3rd aka EC3 tonight for a future Ross Report podcast. We will talk about his WWE career, how things have changed for him in TNA and the upcoming TNA PPV Bound for Glory that will emanate from Charlotte.

Tuesday night at 9 ET a new Ross Report will drop with the ubitquitous Josh Barnett on the show. We wll talk UFC, pro wrestling, broadcasting, acting, being trained by the late, Billy Robinson and much more.

I'm on Facebook at JimRossBBQ.

Expect former CMLL star Sarita, Sarah Stock, to be a coach in NXT. She's a really solid wrestler who should make a good teacher/mentor for her students. We wish her the best. She was also a Bells palsy victim a few years ago.

Is being a 16X World Champ more impressive than being the WWWF Champion for EIGHT years? Curious as to folks thoughts on this matter. No dog in the hunt, just curious. Tweet me at @JRsBBQ.
