NEWS
Although The Naturals (Andy Douglas & Chase Stevens) were released from TNA last month, they did wrestle on TNA's recent house shows in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. There are still talks that The Naturals will be used in the upcoming NWA World Tag Team Tournament.

It has been no secret that Konnan and Ron Killings have been frustrated in TNA. TNA had not been pushing The Latin American Xchange (Homicide & Hernandez) because the company believed Konnan could leave for AAA, but apparently put himself in the doghouse for doing an interview with Alex Marvez that was syndicated. In the interview, Konnan talked about the possibility of organizing a union in TNA, but he said the top guys are taken care of and wouldn?t be respective to the idea of unionizing. Konnan also pointed out that wrestling fans had raised $14,000 for his kidney transplant surgery, and AAA raised the remaining $35,000 (from proceeds of the Rey de Reyes benefit show in El Toreo). ?The fans came though for me when my own company (TNA) didn?t,? stated Konnan in the interview. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Konnan had asked for a raise from $50,000 to $80,000, but realized it wasn?t likely to be granted and said goodbye to people at the "Slammiversary" pay-per-view. Terry Taylor told Konnan his raise request was doable, but Jeff Jarrett asked him to hold off on his request due to the heat he received from the Marvez interview. Konnan told Jarrett that he could make triple in Mexico, and had never received a raise.

Christopher Daniels was told he would do a long program with Sting, but then found out his feud concluded with a 6 minute match at "Slammiversary". Daniels has also been told the XXX group would be reuniting with Senshi, Elix Skipper, and himself.

World Wrestling Entertainment has purchased Jim Cornette?s 50% ownership of WWE?s developmental territory ? Ohio Valley Wrestling, based in Louisville, KY. Danny Davis owns the other half of OVW. Cornette had been hands off with OVW since joining TNA following his release from his WWE contract.

Jim Ross announced on his blog this past week that the opening date for J. R.'s Family Bar-B-Que Restaurant in Norman has been pushed back to mid-July.

There is talk of Ric Flair doing a retirement match at Wrestlemania 24.

Wrestling legends Harley Race, Magnum T. A., and Rick Martel were all backstage at the WWE "Vengeance" pay-per-view event on June 24th.

Viscera was told he was being moved from RAW and will be repackaged. The idea is to make him a version of the One Man Gang from the 80's in World Class, an unstoppable force. The idea is apparently for Viscera to be pushed in ECW, then moved to Smackdown or back to RAW as a monster heel.

Dusty Rhodes wants an on air role as ECW commissioner, with the idea of Rhodes feuding with an ECW heel general manager. The chances of doing the angle is said to be 50/50. Rhodes is currently working as an ECW writer with Dave Lagana.

Former WWF ring announcer and Oklahoma native Mike McGuirk was in attendance at the WWE RAW house show in College Station, TX. She was brought from ringside by Maria to guest ring announce the match between WWE RAW World Tag Team Champion Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch vs. Brian Kendrick & Paul London.

Deep South Wrestling, owned and operated by Jody "The Assassin" Hamilton will be holding its first event since parting ways with WWE on Thursday, July 5th, 2007 in Locust Grove, GA.

Dave Meltzer posted a report on his website last Thursday saying Robert Gibson has said he was not scheduled to be on the Saturday night show in Salemburg, NC with Ricky Morton vs. Dennis Condrey & Bobby Eaton. The next night, Meltzer reported that Bobby Eaton had also pulled out and would be replaced by Randy Rose.

Black Bart will be a guest on Tuesday's "Trash Talking Radio" broadcast, which can be heard at TrashTalkingRadio.com
