It's great to be back in steamy, Oklahoma after a whirlwind weekend that saw me on 7 planes, in 5 states, a 200+ mile car trip but enjoying a rewarding trip to the @wrestlingmuseum in Waterloo, Iowa for their annual event which was another success. If you are a wrestling fan of any ilk you must visit the Dan Gable Museum in Waterloo, Iowa at some point in your life. I think they very muc for their support of Headlock on Hunger, www.headlockonhunger.org, which many of us are devoted much needed time.

House keeping notes from Twitter, Facebook and our own Q&A's here on the site;

I am not going to be affiliated with Global Force Wrestling at this time but I certainly support Jeff and Karen Jarrett's dream and will do all that I can to help them succeed. One never says never but I'm simply not ready to return to regular, weekly TV Wrestling.

Having a minor medial procedure done Tuesday morning that will lay me up for a few days but shutting down and catching up on rest before I head to Charlotte in late July is timely.

Huge event in Joppa, Maryland promoted by one of the top indie groups in America, Maryland Championship Wrestling, THIS Saturday July 18 at the MCW Arena featuring HOFer Rowdy Roddy Piper, The Wolves. tag team extraordinaire, The Beautiful People consisting of Angelina Love, Velvet Sky and Madison Rayne. The arena is at 1000 Joppa Farm Road in Joppa, Md. visit www.marylandwrestling.com for ticket info as this is one of the biggest live events of the summer on the indie scene and a card that I would love to attend as a fan if possible. This is the annual Shane Shamrock Memorial Cup XV and you can meet Rowdy Roddy, The Wolves, and the Beautiful People beginning at 5:30 this Saturday at the arena.

WWE Battleground is in St Louis this Sunday on the WWE Network headlined by Brock Lesnar challenging Seth Rollins for the WWE World Title and John Cena defending the United States Title against Kevin Owens. That means that one would assume that Monday night's RAW will be amped up a bit. The great performers over the years always took these 'go home' RAWS very seriously to the point that the day of atmosphere was significantly unique. If today is just another day at the office then something's wrong.

I will do my first RINGSIDE W/ JIM ROSS SHOW in the Carolinas on Thursday night July 30 at the annual extravaganza known as the NWA Legends Fan Fest at the Charlotte University Hilton. My show will follow the world premier of the docu-film 'Mid Atlantic Memories' which has its world premier that night and just before Master James E. Cornette does his hilarious Jim Cornette Experience. $99 VIP All Access tickets gets you into every thing all four days and they can be purchased at www.nwalegends.com along with getting all the info for the four day event AND how you can order the DVD of the film that I narrated and appear on as well. It's a must watch for any wrestling fan especially old school fans aor fans who love wrestling history.

The was talk of changing our start time for our RINGSIDE Show in NYC at the Gramercy Theatre on Saturday night August 22 due to all the competition on Saturday evening but Live Nation decided against it and we will proceed with an 8 pm start time as planned. Ticket sales have been brisk and only a few VIP tickets remain and all general admission tickets are priced at only $25 on sale now at the box office and Ticketmaster.com. The Busted Open Radio Crew will MC our NYC show.

Our RINGSIDE Show in Washington DC on Wednesday August 19 at the DC Improv is rocking with only a handful of VIP tickets left a dcimprov.com with GA's starting at $25 on a show that will be MC'ed by the talented, comedian and radio personality @ChadDukes.

Great UFC 189 PPV Saturday night. I watched it with @MattLindland, former UFC fighter and currently US Olympic team Greco Roman Wrestling coach, along with Jerry Brisco and other friends. We got to see the final, two bouts and they were scintillating. Conor McGregor is money and it will be interesting to see if he is going to wind up as a heel or face in UFC. The thousands of Irish fans on hand made it clear that the controversial McGregor was God-like to them on PPV. I predicted that the Lawler-MacDonald fight would be the fight of the night and it was. The event had a WWE-like feel to it inasmuch as the live music entrances gave the event a sports entertainment extravaganza feel which will likely piss off many MMA purists who don't approve of me talking about their beloved sport in any context.

Does any one not get the statement that I made that pro wrestling villains with a few notable exceptions, had rather work the live audience for a 'pop' then to be anti crowd and relentless in getting legit heel heat? Think it through.

Just got some more awesome @RootsofFight gear which is absolutely awesome! Check them out www.rootsoffight.com for the coolest apparel of its kind in the world.

www.wweshop.com is shipping JR's products as humanly possible. Many orders go out the day that they are received.

@americansoda and @beyondtheropes in the UK and Ireland will be back in stock with JR's any time now due to a shipping snafu.

Loved the season premier of Ray Donovan on Showtime. Ian McShane is going to be a huge addition to the cast. @TheRock 'Ballers' on HBO hot, too and has been renewed for season two. So proud of Rock and his team. Plus, I'm now hooked on HBO's True Detective too. Sunday night is TV night in our home. Will be DVR'ing all these shows This Sunday around WWE Battleground.

Mike Tenay Pt 2 Ross Report Podcast has delivered big time and this Tuesday night a new podcast drops at 9 ET with ROH's Mike Elgin. Good stuff. Plus, tonight I'm talking with my old pal Tony Schiavone for a future Ross Report. Last summer our podcast garnered over 1M downloads when all was said and done.

Got an inquiry about a boxing gig for August on cable TV so I will keep you informed.

Boomer Sooner!
