JR's Blog: Ringside To Batltimore, Meltzer On Ross Report Today, Raw Is Lesnar, @Heymanhustle, @WWEBalor, Busted Open Radio, What Now? Film On VOD April 1

Thanks for stopping by our site. We are in preparation mode for our next RINGSIDE w/ Jim Ross Show and the first one ever in the great, wrestling city of Baltimore which will be Saturday night May 16 at the Rams Head Live venue. Tickets are on sale now at ramsheadlive.com. Our Ross Report Podcast that drops tonight (Tuesday) at 9 ET as usual is one of our best shows to date as our guest Dave Meltzer of wrestlingobserver. com and I discuss Sunday's WrestleMania, potential WWE booking through next year's 'Mania in Texas along with much more including Jeff Jarrett's GFW Las Vegas TV tapings.

RAW was a true wild west show from what I saw via watching it via DVR late Monday night. Honestly, watching via DVR is a cool way to navigate through the three hour show to avoid the endless commercials that run multiple times within the show. Advertisers who run the same spot over and over aren't doing themselves any favors in my opinion.

The star of the show and the hottest commodity in WWE right now was Brock Lesnar who made an IMPACT for the ages. Monday night was one night that I was pleased to not be the "Voice of Monday Night RAW" any longer. I've taken enough ass whippings on TV to last a life time and having Brock get physical with yours truly isn't on my bucket list.

I think tht WWE has done a stellar job in the placement of their titles including Rollins/WWE Champ, Cena/US Champ, and Daniel Bryan/IC Champ, Potential new matches abound and I only hope that these titles don't become a hot potato and begin changing hands where one needs a program to remember who the title holders are. All three of the current champions can in their own unique way build equity in their respect championships. That is good booking.

Paul Heyman had a great night representing Lesnar as @HeymanHustle continues to be the best talker in the biz and even though Lesnar is 'suspended indefinitely' Heyman is not and Paul's presence on RAW is imperative in my view. I don't expect to see Paul fade away for any significant length of time but don't know the plans for him or any one else from a creative standpoint.

Rollins is an example of a highly desirable, beatable WWE Champion which can be a booker's dream. So was Flair and HBK back in the day. However, Rollins needs to subscribe to the less is more philosophy as it relates to taking massive bumps in volume so that his shelf life can be extended for as long as possible. Great example of how working in the Indies, for ROH and in NXT can all combine to take one to the Promised Land.

I could watch Daniel Bryan vs. Dolph Ziggler wrestle as much as WWE wanted to give it to me. Ziggler is a tremendous asset ot WWE and seemingly never has a bad match no matter if he's winning or losing. Proves the fact that the most important facet of a match isn't just who wins or who loses but how the match is perceived by the fans, the work rate and one's skill sets are highlighted.

If Sheamus is going to become a villain, which I like BTW, hopefully he will master many of the villain nuances that others have failed to prioritize such as cheating to gain an unfair advantage and selling like a villain. Sheamus needs to also be as physical as possible until it is time for him to acquire the 'limber tail' in his matches.

Neville lost his first name from Friday night at the NXT show I attended to Monday's RAW but mke no mistake that the British lad is special. Great young man who is respectful and a true pro who has more than paid his dues and, yes, he reminds me of Tommy Billington aka the Dynamite Kid.

Actually liked the booking of Cena vs. Ambrose which helps Ambrose, the US Title and is also good for John. Ambrose is part Pillman and part Terry Funk IMO.

Answered several Q&A's here on he site today including what I thought about NXT's Finn Balor. He's spectacular and has a bright future if he can stay healthy and emotionally invested in his craft which only time an tell. The Irishman is ready for WWE's main roster now but only if he is introduced impactfully and that takes a strategic plan and spot on creative plus a 6 month outline of who he works with during his introductory period, IMO. Nonetheless, I see greatness ahead for the young man. I actually got to meet his father and mother Friday night at the NXT show in San Jose and they were rightfully proud of their son....so was I.

While i always enjoy the WWE HOF Induction Ceremony it was a little long for me this year albeit enjoyable. One of the most entertaining aspects of watching the festivities was how many times some older, veteran wrestlers had to excuse themselves to go use the facilities. Yours truly included. That teach us to not over hydrate before a long event. Taping those hurried walks by some of the biz's most famous wrestlers ala a Mystery Science Theater format could be uniquely entertaining WWE Network Programming.

WWEShop.com is fully stocked with JR's products and ready to ship immediately throughout North America. wweshop.com provides easy, convenient online shopping.

Loved seeing so many JR's tees at WM31 in San Jose that came fromprowrestingtees.com/jimross. We ship any where in the world in sizes up to 5X.

Working on a Brooklyn RINGSIDE w/Jim Ross Show for Summer Slam weekend near the Barclay Center.

Enjoy working with the guys from Sirius Radio's Busted Open crew. Legit, good dudes who love the wrestling business. Our three hour WrestleMania special broadcast was a hit.

Next week on the Ross Report Podcast my guest l be the outspoken and incomparable Super Star Billy Graham who has PLENTY to say.

The wrestling centric film that several of my friends appeared in along with me 'What Now?' becomes available on all major cable systems on April 1. Wrestling fans will love this contemporary comedy and hopefully a 'heel' JR.

Thanks to everyone who visits our site regularly and who support our RINGSIDE w/ Jim Ross Shows, our podcasts @iTunes and our online shopping partners. We remain grateful and thankful for having so many great folks behind us.
