Greetings all and thanks for stopping by our site. Let's grill...

Big night tonight (Tuesday) on the Ross Report Podcast on podcastone.com when I welcome the incomparable Iron Sheik to the show. It drops at 9 pm ET on @PodcastOne and iTunes. We will talk about Sheik's new movie of his life which is very compelling and feature a cameo from @TheRock along with yours truly. We talk the film, when Sheik started abusing drugs and with who, his amazing career, working in the territories, who gave him his 'gimmick' and much more. Co-Executive Producer of the film Jian Magan will also talk about the movie aspect of our conversation. It's a really good show and I hope that you will listen. Later today I'm going to talk booking with @TheJImCornette along with his giant, selection of lost tapes from the Mid Atlantic Wrestling library that JC salvaged out of a dumpster.

Next Tuesday February 10, injured ROH wrestler Adam Cole will join me and the following week the voice of ROH Kevin Kelly will join me o talk about the next ROH PPV comes to the Ross Report Podcast.

Enjoyed the Austin-HHH podcast Monday night after RAW on the @WWENetwork and look forward to more programs such as this as they are somewhat easy to produce and more cost efficient than many other original programming concepts. For me the long term key to the Network are the PPV's and Original Programming. The ideas for original programming are seemingly endless. Both Austin and Triple H were straight forward and once they got on a roll it created some interesting content. I could have easily listened to another hour.

I liked the tweak in the booking as it relates to the the Fast Lane PPV in a few weeks in Memphis as it gets Daniel Bryan back involved, provides multiple ways to go and even potentially positions Reigns as the villain against fan favorite Lesnar. As I said when many fans were knocking themselves out with their uncontrollable knee jerks, the weekly TV between now and WM31 could and should be good programming. I see that happening if the stories are kept simple and not over thought.

One way to create equity in the US Title is to have John Cena win it, hold it for an extended length of time and bring the luster back to the long time title. OR....hae Rusev stay unbeaten including WM31. How hot would Rusev be if he stayed unpinned and submission free until WM32?

Congrats to Pro Wrestling Torch founder/publisher/editor/friend of Bruce Mitchell, Wade Keller for being slated to receive the Jim Melby Award for excellence in journalism in Waterloo, Iowa the weekend of July 10-11. Wade is deserving of this honor after investing essentially his entire life into his entrepreneurial venture.

The annual Chris Benoit into the WWE HOF topic has reared it's head again and will likely linger until after the WWE HOF event the night before WM31. I do not endorse Chris, who I hired and had immense respect for until the final days of his life when he murdered his family and then committed suicide. Knowing Chris as I did I feel that he would NOT want to be enshrined into the WWE HOF because of the backlash that it would create and because the story would not be about Chris's stellar career but instead about the infamous murder/suicide. The entire matter is still a gut wrencher including me representing the WWE at Nancy and Daniel's funeral services which was a task that was SO hard for me to attend on a personal level. IMO one cannot separate the career of an overachieving athlete from the fact that he murdered his family and then took his own life and no matter the alleged motive.

Let's try this one last time....Booger Red...what was it...what did it mean....In the South and Southwest according to the dictionary Booger means a ghostly being also described as a ghost, hobgoblin, or other frightening apparition. I called the undertaker that for multiple reasons...his TV persona was that of a frightening apparition, he had red hair, and he reminded me of the nasty, physical style of athleticism that former Texas Longhorn linebacker and first pick of the NFL Draft by the Atlanta Falcons Tommy Nobis, with his 22 inch neck, and was nicknamed 'Booger Red' by the media for his physical play on the football field. That is the back story on the nickname I gave Taker that did not resonate and was eventually laid to rest, so to speak, much to the pleasure of some of the comic book reading, creative writers who had zero knowledge of athletics. I tried...I failed....and that's the story behind me calling Undertaker 'Booger Red' for a short time.
