Greetings from Oklahoma...Big night tonight for the Ross Report as Cowboy Bill Watts, my mentor, will be my guest on the Ross Report podcast which drops on podcastone.com and iTunes at 9 eastern time. Please consider subscribing for FREE the Ross Report at iTunes and you won't miss a show and your podcast downloads automatically. You subscribing certainly helps us and it costs you zilch. Let's grill.....

Check out my latest contribution to @USAToday Sports where I'm a member of their mock college football voting panel. It comes out every Tuesday during football season in the sports section of USA Today.

Heading to Morgantown, West Virginia this weekend to attend the OU at WVU Big 12 game. Dangerous, road game for my @Oklahoma_Football who are favored by 11 which may be the best bet of the week, taking the points, because I think this game is going to be very close.

I will also be a guest on Fox Sports college football pre game show that will air on 'Big Fox' somewhere in the 6:30-7:30 pm eastern time hour. I hope that you will check it out.

Check out my latest story for foxsports.com on the recruitment of @BrockLesnar and his real life relationship and how it evolved with @HeymanHustle.

Heard the past few days that Impact Wrestling has more suitors to become TNA's new Cable TV home in early 2015. That's the good news but none of the cable networks are powerhouses but at least Impact has renewed interest from the cable world which is a good thing. I hope that for the Nashville based company's sake that something positive works out for them. It's obvious that major infrastructure changes will be in store for TNA but that's not necessarily a bad thing as companies do that all the time. It actually might make the company more efficient and productive over the long haul.

Getting very excited about working with Chael Sonnen on Friday night October 3 on PPV for Battleground MMA which will emanate from Tulsa and will feature the return of the 8 man, single elimination tournament with the winner earning, the hard way, 50K. Check with your local cable and satellite provider for more info. I can assure you that our broadcast won't be boring. I'm very excited to stick my toe into new waters especially considering I'm a major MMA fan.

Now sources are saying Ric Flair had an appendicitis attack and then the doctors found a hernia which both are considered minor surgeries but my take on that is that no surgery is 'minor' when a guy is 65 years old. Details are still unconfirmed but we hope that Flair heals quickly.

Speaking of Flair, I'm talking to his former manager and fellow WWE HOF member JJ Dillon later today for a future Ross Report Podcast. I have great respect for JJ and look forward to speaking with him on the Ross Report.

Unique 'go home' show for Monday Night RAW from what seemed like a listless Lafayette, Louisiana Monday night. It was obvious that WWE wanted the biggest audience possible in order to highlight the Lesnar-Cena main event for Sunday's Night of Champions PPV by having it during half time of the Monday Night Football game which then put the America vs. Russia storyline in the coveted, final segment of RAW.

The Lesnar/Heyman/Cena segment was the highlight of the show by far which lends even more credence to the theory that Sunday's PPV is essentially a one match show which isn't a new development or necessarily a bad thing. The WWE World Title is the most meaningful Championship in WWE, as it should be, but the other titles are luke warm at best. Speaking optimistically perhaps that matter can begin to change this Sunday.

I was hoping another RAW match or two would have been perceived more positively especially with some having ramifications and providing fans another reason to watch on Sunday as I will be doing. Instead, most bouts felt like they did not have the sense of urgency that only the talents can provide and instead felt like it was business as usual on Monday night.

Rollins vs. Reigns but the outcome was a head scratcher considering that the same two men will meet again this Sunday. To think that Reigns can't ever lose, no matter the circumstances, to continue his build is dubious logic. In a nutshell I did not understand the outcome of Rollins vs. Reigns Monday night.

I'd have liked to have seen a NXT bout on this show as it would greatly help promote the WWE Network and demonstrate to fans what they are missing with this first run, original program. Last week, NXT was the best produced WWE program of the week from where I was sitting and I watched all their TV shows.

Talks will be resuming soon about the possibility of my return to doing some more boxing which I hope we can work out after OU football season concludes.

Please support the new charity that myself and many other friends of wrestling are getting involved by following @HeadlockHunger on Twitter. Our goal is to help provide food for needy kids during the Thanksgiving holiday and throughout the December holidays. Please check out http://www.headlockonhunger.net.

If one looks at the cumulative number of followers that WWE Superstars have on Twitter think of how much of a positive affect, cost efficient too, it would have on potential subscribers to the @WWENetwork if all those Superstars tweeted out once a week what they were enjoying on the Network. That's massive reach and cost the WWE little if any money.
