You may remember back in August 2012 when 16 year old Amelia Keown, granddaughter to Wayne ?Zeb Colter? Keown, was killed while driving home from school after being hit head on by a parolee who was trying to outrun the Tennessee Highway Patrol. The parolee, who also died, was under the influence of drugs and alcohol. On March 7th, a bill named Amelia?s Law, one that would allow Tennessee judges to order drug and alcohol offenders to wear transdermal devices that would detect whether they have used, was passed by both the Tennessee Senate and House of Representatives. The next step is for Governor Haslam to sign it into law. The law was introduced by Keown, who speaks in the news video at this link.

Wayne "Zeb Colter" Keown posted the following message on the Zeb Colter Twitter account last Friday, ?I want to thank #WeThePeople for their support of #AmeliasLaw that passed unanimously in the TN. House/Senate and will become law June 1".

WWE recently applied to trademark ?Ric Flair? for performance use so it appears they will be using him more on WWE TV soon. As noted, Flair recently signed a new deal with WWE.

Jerry Lawler?s t-shirt was a hot topic during last night?s RAW from Memphis. Lawler posted on Twitter about the shirt after the show "My Raw shirt tonight in Memphis was a tribute to Elvis & his gold lame? suit. From the Graceland gift shop!?

Berekley Ottman, son of Fred Ottman who wrestled as Tugboat and Typhoon in WWF and Shockmaster in WCW, is working for WWE. The younger Ottman has been working as a NXT timekeeper, stage manager, and floor manager for a while now. He worked last week's RAW in Chicago, IL to train under longtime WWE timekeeper Mark Yeaton. He is the nephew of Dusty Rhodes.

Ever since she left her post as WWE?s Chief Executive Officer in 2009, Linda McMahon has kept her public appearances at WWE events to almost zero. Apart from sitting front row at Hall of Fame ceremonies, McMahon has completely distanced herself from the company that she helped develop. But that will all change come April 5th as Linda McMahon will be inducting the Ultimate Warrior into this year?s WWE Hall of Fame. The news was made public by Warrior himself on Twitter, who said he was honored that McMahon had accepted his request to induct him into the Hall of Fame. While it seems as a weird combination, with many expecting a former rival of Warrior to induct him, this comes as a big win for Warrior who spent years and years being isolated from the WWE after several fights with the McMahons

The Ultimate Warrior announced on Twitter that Linda McMahon will be inducting him into the WWE Hall of Fame this year. He wrote "Fortunetelling pundits lack the integrity it takes to figure me out. I?m honored @Linda_McMahon accepts my request to introduce #wwehof2014. For all the Medicinal Marijuana users & ADD crowd w/ half-ass functioning brains: Introduce=Induct. One more time. Induct=Introduce. Got it?"

At one of Jim Cornette?s recent appearances in the United Kingdom, he noted that if WWE wanted to induct he and The Midnight Express (Dennis Condrey & Bobby Eaton) into their Hall of Fame, that he would accept and be glad to be a part of it because he was very proud of that part of his career. Cornette feels it would be fitting for the three of them to be acknowledged by WWE. Cornette also doubted that it would happen any time soon.

John Cena's schedule over the weekend was a house show in Madison Square Garden, representing the company at the SXSW conference in Austin, TX Sunday morning, and then a late afternoon house show tonight in Jonesboro, AR. Cena spoke for five minutes in Chinese at the conference. As part of the conference, Roku did a special presentation where they ran the WWE network all day long with Sgt. Slaughter as guest. Speaking for WWE in front of a panel besides Cena were Stephanie McMahon, Michael Cole and Perkins Miller.

Gerald Brisco of WWE was scouting at the Big 10 wrestling championships Sunday. The NCAA tournament is two weeks away.

A. J. Styles is expected to start working for New Japan Pro Wrestling as early as April. It?s not official yet but talks are going on and those in NJPW are expecting a deal to be signed.

It has been noted before that Jeff Jarrett hinted at doing a Tuesday night wrestling show at a recent autograph signing. Word now is that this is a case of Jarrett?s words being taken out of context. Jarrett actually talked about wrestling being storytelling and that the story would translate on any night of the week. He used Tuesday as an example but said the stories need to be told outside of just one specific night. Jarrett has been traveling extensively over the past few weeks setting up production, merchandise, talent, and international relations with other promotions. Jarrett is reportedly planning for a photo shoot for a ?major production company? which will lead into the big announcement that we?ve all been waiting for. The announcement may be coming before April is the word going around now.

Jeff Jarrett has chosen the date of April 7th, the day after WrestleMania XXX, to make a major announcement, revealing what he and his wife Karen have been working on since he quit TNA. Jarrett resigned from his post as Vice President of TNA Wrestling on December 23, 2013, catching everyone in the wrestling world by surprise considering he was the co-founder of the company. In his latest video, Jarrett said that he and his wife are excited as the next wrestling fan and they are humbled by the support and excitement shown by fans. ?Monday, April 7 is going to be our first major announcement and I?m very, very excited,? Jarrett said, with Karen adding that they will soon be able to scream and yell to the world what they have been working on. Jim Ross and Bill Goldberg agreed to do each others podcasts on Twitter today. Apparently Goldberg is planning on launching a podcast soon.

The Gulf Coast Wrestling Reunion kicked off last Thursday night with the inductions into the Gulf Coast Hall of Fame. Those inducted that attended were Danny Hodge, Ann Casey, Susan Green, Ron Garvin, and Cowboy Bob Kelly. Also inducted, who have passed away, were Eddie Sullivan (daughter and grandson attended), Rip Tyler (wife attended), Ronnie West (sons attended), Penny Banner (daughter attended), Mario Galento (wife attended) and Vivian Vachon (her brother Paul was to attend but couldn't attend due to a health issue). Ron Garvin gave a very emotional great speech.

Blue Demon Jr. pulled out of the World Wretling League shows on Saturday in Xalapa and Sunday in Mexico City. Mil Mascaras at the age of 73, faced WWL champion Monster Pain in both main events for the title.

As he does almost every year, Jim Duggan appeared at the Variety Club telethon in Iowa over the weekend

Former AWA, WCCW, and WWF wrestler Buck Zumhofe was found guilty of six counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct and six counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct in Minnesota yesterday, for molesting his daughter. Zumhofe will be sentenced on May 7th. He tried to flee the courtroom as the verdict was being read and was tackled by police. He was then charged with a felony count of attempting to escape police custody.

Oklafan congratulates Robert Lee, who recently surpassed 6 months as WFC Hometown Heroes Champion. He defeated Dexter Hardaway to become the 1st ever champion at WFC's "The Fight for Cayden" event in Skiatook on September 8, 2013.

Oklafan send its condolences to the family and friends of Billy Joe Bronie, who passed away in his sleep on March 9, 2014. His exact age is unknown at this time, but reports indicate he was in his upper 50s. Bronie, whose real name was Ronald "Bill" Crawford, had been a regular fixture for BCW in the early 2000s, but had been inactive for quite a long time, focusing on his musical career as well as his job as a newspaper editor, before returning on November 16, 2013 to be the manager of Warhammer in BPPW. Bronie made 4 appearances for BPPW. The last was on his birthday, February 15, 2014 where he had a birthday cake shoved in his face at the end of the show by Brandon Groom.

Oklafan sends its condolences to the family and friends of Jerry Kozak, who passed away March 5th at the age of 79. Kozak, who excelled at gymnastics in his youth, followed in the footsteps of his brother Nick and began wrestling in Arizona before making his way to Amarillo, where he would be most associated with for the remainder of his career. Eventually, he and his wife purchased the portion of the Amarillo territory that belonged to Dory Funk, Sr. and ran it until health issues for Kozak's wife Edie forced him to sell his portion in the early 1980s. Kozak competed on 134 documented wrestling events in Oklahoma from 1963 to 1973. The earliest was July 22, 1963 in Tulsa where he defeated Jack Vansky in a 2-out-of-3 Falls match for TSW and the last was in 1973 in Guymon where he teamed with Moose Morowski and defeated Hank James & Satchmo Bogey in a 2-out-of-3 Falls Match. Kozak held many titles during his career, mostly tag team championships with his brother Nick. But he did hold the TSW United States Tag Team Championship with Bill Watts, winning a tournament final over the Masked Bolos for that title on September 2, 1963.
