NEWS
As of last week, the April 20th TNA house show in Louisville at the Louisville Gardens had 800 tickets sold with all floor seat tickets sold out. Jim Cornette promoted the event, which has a $15,000 advance. The estimated crowd on Friday night was 1,700 with comps. The talk on Friday in Louisville is that TNA would be returning in the late summer or fall with a PPV.

With Jeff Jarrett attending to family issues, Vince Russo and Dutch Mantel have done most of the booking.

Speaking of Jarrett, he is featured prominently on the TNA "Slammiversary" poster and is a take-off of the "Walk the Line" movie poster.

Continuing with the Jeff Jarrett news, a "Best of Jeff Jarrett" DVD is once again in the works.

TNA is hopeful that the Kurt Angle-Sting dream match on Impact this Thursday night does a strong ratings number. The show has averaged a 1.0 cable rating thus far in 2007.

TNA will release a DVD entitled "The Best of Abyss" and will include the Tag Team Title win with A. J. Styles in 2004, the "Fight for the Right" tournament match against Styles, and a comprehensive look at the war involving Abyss, Sting, and Christian Cage that led to his past being revealed.

Cody Runnels (the son of WWE Hall of Famer Dusty Rhodes) is now going by the name Cody Rhodes in Ohio Valley Wrestling, WWE's developmental fed.

Apparently one the reasons WWE decided to cut ties with Deep South is due to Jody "The Assassin" Hamilton agreeing to a television deal with Canada's The Fight Network without seeking permission with WWE. After WWE severed its ties with Deep South Wrestling, what has followed is that Hamilton is shutting down the promotion and school, as apparently it needed WWE's help to be sustainable. The talent is at this point believed to be moved to a new school in Florida (may be Steve Keirn's, but that isn't a definite).
