JR's Blog: New Info on RINGSIDE: An Evening w/ Jim Ross, Ted DiBiase, Daniel Bryan, NFL Playoff Picks, Q&A's Updated

Great weekend here in Norman..grilling weather for us and I'm going to take advantage of it. Let's fire it up....

'RINGSIDE: An Evening with Jim Ross' in NOLA on Thursday April 3 will now be two shows at 6:30 and 9:30 pm at the House of Blues. VIP tickets will be available for the Meet and Greets plus each show will include lots of Q&A time. Tickets will go on sale next week and I will release that info when I receive it but I'm sure that ticketmaster.com will be involved.

It's a great way to kickoff a fun week in New Orleans for WM30 week and I hope that you will plan on joining me there.

RINGSIDE is headed to NYC at the Gramercy Theatre and has tickets on sale now at the box office and all ticketmaster.com outlets. Two shows Saturday March 1 in NYC with each having VIP tickets available for the best seats and a Meet and Greet.

Happy Birthday #60 to my longtime friend and fellow WWE HOFer @MDMTedDiBiase who started working for Bill Watts just about the same time that I did in 1974.

Ted was a natural who picked up the nuances of working in front of live audiences in a variety of roles about as quick as any one that I recall. The Million Dollar Man persona spawned JBL and Alberto Del Rio in WWE but no one did it better than the original...Ted DiBiase.

Ted's involvement in the Ric Flair, Dick Murdoch, NWA Title scenario that played out in one of the most dynamic, TV storylines that I've ever been associated with was a lasting memory on Mid South Wrestling.

The second generation wrestler has a significant role in my RINGSIDE shows as he's the central character in a 'murder conspiracy' that I found myself involved in back in the day. Talk about paying one's dues!!

Teddy never really needed the WWE Title while working in WWE as his TV persona that included the 'Million Dollar Title' made for a marvelous TV persona.

Much like Daniel Bryan who doesn't need the WWE Wold Title today, Ted's verbal skills and ability to make everyone that he worked with better is a credit to Ted's in ring skills and unparalleled ring psychology. Ted had many mentors but Dick Murdoch was one of his most prolific ones. Cowboy Bill Watts also was a great teacher and provided Ted with his first, major territory break as I recall.

Back to Daniel Bryan, he's white hot and has done what many wrestlers only dream of doing and that's making a strong, emotional connection with the fan base. Bryan is SO connected or 'over' in rasslin' vernacular and he's still evolving well even without the WWE Title.

Will Daniel Bryan ever become the WWE World Title for a nice 'run' some day? I can't see how it won't happen. Question is when and it could be at WM30 if all the cards fall into place. Stay tuned.

Unfortunately, many will think that professional development should have happened 'yesterday' but I'm enjoying the 'chase' that Bryan is on while fighting for 'respect' and then, when the time is right, fighting for the Championship.

Patience.

Who is a more popular choice to win the Royal Rumble than Daniel Bryan?

Going with the New England Patriots +4.5 vs home team Denver and the 49ers and the points, +3.5, vs. Seattle who's playing in front of the loud 12th man on Sunday.

Anxious to see who can control the line of scrimmage and effectively run the ball thus better managing the clock. Plus, another key is making the pocket passing QB's uncomfortable and forced to leave their 'spot.' This is especially important in the Manning-Brady showdown.

It's likely that in the San Fran-Seattle game that the respective, young QB's in that game will be more willing to run, if necessary, than we've seen the past few weeks. Now is the time to let it all go and hold zero back in hopes of making it to the "Big Game."

In Denver, QB hurries, sacks and pressures will be interesting stats with which to keep track.

In Seattle, the 49ers would be well served to attempt to take the Seahawks crowd out of the game to some degree by getting a lead and creating turnovers. I'm thinking that this one will be along the lines of a Hell in a Cell match as it relates to physicality.

Was this a troll question or legit, in your view, that came to me via Twitter @JRsBBQ? "Will @WWENetwork air the 1999 Over the Edge PPV where Owen Hart died?"

Just shake my head at some of these doozies. Firstly, I don't know what the WWE Network is or isn't going to program. Secondly, the WWE Network's on Twitter so why not ask them? Thirdly, do you actually think I'd want to attempt to sit through that experience again? I've yet to watch it after all these years and won't likely watch it unless I include that matter in a book.

WWEShop.com back in stock with JR's products at http://www.wweshop.com. Check out our page with all the specials displayed.

http://www.americansoda.co.uk will soon be adding JR's seasoning to their line of our products. A large shipment of JR's should be leaving the States within days.

Q&A's here are updated. Please make them as succinct as you can and do not send the same question multiple times. I enjoy addressing your questions but, as one could imagine, I can't answer them all due to time restrains but I do my best.

I invite one and all to follow me on Twitter @JRsBBQ.
