WWE creative team writer Michael Hayes will be out for a few weeks "for personal reasons". Court Bauer, a former WWE creative team member himself, said on his podcast last Friday that Hayes was spotted sharing a drink with Rosa Mendes, a big no no since Mendes was recently sent home for having alcohol issues herself. Bauer said that once Vince McMahon got hold of the situation, the decision was taken to suspend the former Freebird over his lapse of judgment. Hayes had his own fair share of problems with alcohol in the past, most notably the infamous plane ride from Europe (or hell, as it is often referred to) several years ago and making a scene at the wedding of Triple H and Stephanie McMahon.

WWE issued the following statement in response to the wrestling media reports that made the rounds this week about the suspension of Michael Hayes, "Michael is taking a leave of absence for personal reasons."

The WWE's official word on Michael Hayes is that he's taking a leave of absence for personal reasons. The story and its ramifications are in the current Observer. He was sent home by management about three weeks ago over allegedly drinking, which was something he was not allowed to do when it was agreed he could keep his job after the Mark Henry "N word" fiasco of a few years ago.

Tammy Sytch spoke about reports that Michael Hayes was unofficially suspended by WWE for being spotted drinking alcohol with Rosa Mendes right after she returned to work following her completion of rehab. WWE?s official statement on the matter read, "Michael is taking a leave of absence for personal reasons." Sytch said of Hayes, "I think he is way out of line. As a recovering alcoholic myself, the last thing you want is for somebody to offer you drinks when you are trying to stay sober. If he did that then shame on him."

Mick Foley announced WWE will be filming his talk show on November 17th in Smithtown, NY for either a DVD release or some sort of a TV release. He's performing at the Smithtoon Performing Arts Center, only a few miles from where he grew up and a theater he's attended events at since childhood. He's inviting wrestling fans because he wants as many as possible since he'll be telling all wrestling stories.

Ric Flair is once again accepting bookings, reports The Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Flair had disappeared after SummerSlam when WWE wanted him to get help, and canceled existing bookings citing a reoccurring problem and hospitalization with blood clots in his legs. Flair had told friends he was staying in Florida with his daughter Charlotte and resting up and not traveling.

The Tampa Tribune has a story about the old days of weekly wrestling at the Fort Homer Hesterly Armory. It notes the October 29th SmackDown tapings in Tampa and talks to old fans, Dusty Rhodes, Eric Solie (Gordon's son), Haku, Roman Reigns, and radio host Ted Webb who said that Dusty Rhodes was a bigger star than Hulk Hogan.
