Due to his antics at the WWE 2K14 press conference on Saturday, Ric Flair was pulled from a surprise appearance at Sunday night?s "SummerSlam" pay-per-view. Flair was in town to sign a new WWE contract, which is now reportedly in jeopardy. Obviously, WWE did not want Flair mentioning TNA at all, which he did. As of Sunday, the Flair situation within WWE was described as a "very sensitive issue".

The feeling coming out of last Saturday's 2K14 press conference where Ric Flair hijacked the show is that the video game people weren't bothered at all about it, but the WWE side was pretty upset. "Infuriated" is probably pretty strong, but they weren't happy at all and it might have ruined Flair's chances at least short-term for a PR deal with the company. Don't expect the video to ever see the light of day from the WWE side but it is online in various places right now, including here. Flair was pulled from the rest of the 2K14 PR.

Ric Flair was in Los Angeles, CA on Saturday for WWE events. He was at the 11am Fan Axxess at LA Live at the Nokia Plaza, and was mainly in to work with 2K Sports. Regarding various rumors, Flair was in Los Angeles at a special 2K Sports party. Ultime Warrior was also in Los Angeles as well for things for 2K Sports, but he was not scheduled for anything related to WWE.

Ric Flair had a little too much of extra fun during the SummerSlam weekend, landing him in hot water for being, well, just the Nature Boy as always. Flair was in Los Angeles to help WWE promote the WWE 2K14 video game and his involvement in the panel which was hosted by Jim Ross raised a few eyebrows and gave WWE management some headaches as well. The two-time WWE Hall of Famer was said to be drunk and his alcohol levels contributed to some funny stories and words which should have never been said. WWE management were so annoyed about it that Flair was eventually pulled out from participating in another WWE 2K14 event. The Nature Boy is said to be close to be given another job with WWE as an ambassador however his usual behavior might have caused an obstacle this time around.

Other reports about Flair's behavior is that the video game company, 2K Sports, was fine with him but there was tremendous heat from WWE management over the feeling he buried Daniel Bryan, talked about drinking so much, and brought up TNA at a WWE event.

Jim Ross tweeted that he was not drunk at the 2K14 press conference on Saturday. He joked that the deal was sponsored by Grey Goose, but that was in reference to Ric Flair. There are reports from fans who saw Flair in the bar literally all afternoon. Also, Ross is doing a Q&A speaking engagement on August 26th at the Comedy Store in Manchester, England which is the only one of the four appearances he has where tickets are still available.

IGN did an article releasing the roster for the "Showcase of the Immortals" mode, covering the last 29 WrestleManias. Among the wrestlers in the WrestleMania mode are Andre the Giant, Bill Goldberg, King Kong Bundy, Mick Foley, Ric Flair (two different versions), Sgt. Slaughter, Ted DiBiase, and Ultimate Warrior.

Jim Ross, Jerry Lawler and Damien Sandow hosted the WrestleMania mode roster reveal.

WWE posted a picture of Ric Flair on Twitter (using the WWE SummerSlam handle) "A surprise guest greets @TheDamienSandow at #SummerSlam #Axxess #woooooo pic.twitter.com/NHNndz3UZj".

On Twitter, Arda Ocal quoted Ric Flair at SummerSlam Axxess '"Good lord Jim Ross, how do people like that get into the business?" ? Ric Flair as Damien Sandow leaves. #WWE2K14 #Axxess".

Mick Foley posted on Facebook "I continue to be flattered and thankful that new fans learn about my career everyday through "For All Mankind" on DVD and Netflix."

Mick Foley made it abundantly clear that he can never wrestle again.

Kevin Nash had several posts on Twitter ripping TNA, advocating letting Jeff Jarrett be part of the creative process. Nash claimed the problem was Spike TV but TNA preseident Dixie Carter gets all the blame.

Bill Goldberg got some publicity for being at the San Diego Padres baseball game on Sunday. A lot of the players popped huge when he came into the locker room.

Jayson Stark of ESPN made a reference to Roddy Piper on "Mike & Mike" on ESPN Radio Tuesday morning when he was referring to New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez. Stark said "He is like Rowdy Roddy Piper. He is a guy you love to hate, but you can't take your eyes off of him."

There were a lot of people upset with Legends of the Ring because they are running a convention in Monroe, NJ on October 5th and announced they were bringing in The Invaders (Jose Gonzalez & Roberto Soto). Gonzalez stabbed Bruiser Brody to death in a dressing room in 1988 but was acquitted when he pled self defense. Due to the negative publicity, Legends of the Ring has canceled the appearance of Gonzalez.
