Michael Barry, Dustin Heritage, Lars Manderson, and Mark Wilson visited the set of "Living Well" on KSN in Joplin, MO last week. In the first segment, Barry demonstrated an arm twist and a sleeper to co-host Stacey Garvilla. In the second segment, Manderson demonstrated the Full Nelson to co-host Adam Bartelmay. Wilson was there to "officiate" the moves being used by the hosts on Heritage. They also were there as the show signed off, along with Barry's nephew and wife. The panelists for the Royal Rumble Fan Fest that will happen during the weekend of the Rumble in Phoenix, AZ at the U.S. Airways Center have been announced. The first panel will take place on Saturday, January 26th, from 3pm to 6pm and will tackle the much talked about Montreal screwjob. Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, and Jerry ?The King? Lawler will be discussing the story and answer questions. The second panel will be held on the same day from 6:30pm to 9:30pm and the topic will be Degeneration X. DX members Triple H, X-Pac, "Road Dogg" Jesse James, and Bad Ass Billy Gunn will be the panelists. The third panel will be held on Sunday, January 27th, from 9am to 12 noon discussing "WCW Monday Nitro" and the Monday Night wars. Alexander Jones was signed to a WWE Developmental deal. He was trained at Knokx Pro Wrestling, Rikishi?s wrestling school, in Simi Valley, CA.

Former WCW announcer Mark Madden, now working for 105.9 The X in Pittsburgh, PA, recently interviewed Ric Flair and Flair stated he wants to wrestle again in WWE. Also in the interview, Flair revealed that his son Reid has signed a 3 month contract with All Japan Pro Wrestling and will be heading there in mid-January. NBA star LeBron James of the Miami Heat was quoted in the Sun Sentinel about his admiration for Ric Flair. He said "I mean, when I was a kid, I loved wrestling. He was one of the guys I loved, too. I think he?s probably one of the creators of what we call swag these days, with the Rolexes and the stretch limos, and all the girls and all that stuff. He?s like the creator of swag, Ric Flair definitely kept me watching TV."

Ric Flair's appearance at the Charlotte Bobcats game and the quotes from LeBron James about Flair was one of the most searched for stories on the Internet for Friday.

Mr Wrestling II, Jerry Brisco, and Tiger Conway, Jr. were announced for the 2013 Mid Atlantic Legends fanfest in Charlotte, NC at the University Place Hotel in early August.

Last Saturday's Atlanta Journal Constitution had an article on Jake Roberts trying to turn his life around with help from Dallas Page.

Hulk Hogan?s new bar and restaurant in Tampa, FL titled Hogan?s Beach, officially opened on December 31st with a New Year?s Eve Masquerade event. The restaurant ? located at the Best Western Bay Harbor hotel ? offered a 4 course dinner and a bottle of champagne for $125 per couple or else just $10 if you want to be at the bar for the big event. On December 29th, Ric Flair and his daughter Ashley dropped by at the restaurant and Hogan posted the photos on his Twitter and referred to Flair in the photo as "The MASTER". There were reports that the restaurant was packed for the grand opening. The grand opening on New Year's Eve was attended by Ric Flair, Flair's girlfriend Wendy Barlow (AKA Fifi the Maid), Al Perez, Brutus Beefcake, and Austin Aries, among others.

Dutch Mantell posted on Facebook "I can?t help but say?the wrestling profession is probably the least place that would harbor homophobia. I?ve never seen a gay person discriminated against in the pro wrestling profession?either in the dressing room or the ring. Wrestlers, by their very nature, are mostly neutral on race, color, gender, religion, political affiliation or sexual orientation. Pro wrestlers are all about making money, not making political or social statements. Or that?s the way I always saw it. Just had to say that?not that it means anything."

Michelle McCool was recently interviewed and talked about memories of Mae Young "A couple of us were in one of those bikini contests, which yeah, could have been any given night. This particular night, they brought out Mae Young ? and she is absolutely amazing. She comes out in this one-piece bathing suit and she?s trying to strip down! We are literally trying to keep her from taking her clothes off in the ring, but we?re about to wet ourselves from laughing so much! The referee is telling us: ?Girls, contain her! Girls, contain her!? We?re like? what in the world?! She?s strong as can be! I don?t care what age she is, she can probably beat my butt! Mae is just like, ?move it, girls? and she?s pushing us to the side. Finally, Torrie (Wilson) just gives up and tells Mae if she?s going to flash somebody, turn towards JBL! We just started dying laughing. She was just ribbing us!" Later in the interview, McCool talked about never having a dream match. While some divas might name Beth Phoenix as their dream opponent, McCool listed Molly Holly, Lita, and Awesome Kong (AKA Kharma) as her dream opponents. She went on to tell a story about Phoenix botching her finishing move and giving McCool a concussion and the difficult times working with her following the concussion. She said "For the most part of both of our careers, we were on different brands. She was on RAW for most of the time and I was on SmackDown. Never any ill words towards each other ? from what I know. We did have the chance to face off pretty early on in my career [SmackDown, Champion vs. Champion] and that was the first time I had gotten in the ring with her. So she gives me her Glam Slam and I take it straight on my face because my arms didn?t come unhooked. At the time, I was like: 'Oh, man. I?ve never seen that happen before. How did she not get my arms unhooked?' I didn?t understand, but figured it must have just been a mistake. I never said anything, but I did have a concussion from that. But I?ll never give anybody any credit for hurting me ? that?s just my stubbornness, it has nothing to do with WWE. I?ve just always been that way. At the time, I just thought she didn?t even know she did it. Come to find out, and it wasn?t even that long ago, I remember getting the WWE magazine in the mail and flipping through the pages. Sure enough, she?s doing an interview in the magazine talking about when she gave me the Glam Slam and saying how bad my head hit the mat, how she didn?t unhook my arms and oops! I?m just like: 'Wow. Years later, the truth comes out.' She knew that she did that, it definitely sounded like she knew she did it at the time. I was just like: 'Dang! What did I ever do to her?' What was that? Was that my 'I didn?t come in the ranks' welcome to the rings match ? what? I didn?t care. I just blew it off. So she comes to SmackDown and LayCool was well-established by that time. WWE put us in a program with Beth and LayCool was just doing their usual LayCool stuff: Glam-A-Man, The Manazon? just LayCool being stupid LayCool. Kind of like when nobody thought Mickie was actually fat, nobody thought Beth was actually a man. It was just our stupid gimmick, and I use the term stupid affectionately. It was definitely bumpy, to say the least. It was never easy. I understand that it can?t be easy on the other side of the LayCool gimmick, no matter how tough the exterior is. It was just definitely a struggle. Being a Diva in a man?s world, you?re constantly in an uphill battle; pitching ideas, trying to get TV time, trying to get in-ring time, the whole nine yards. It seemed like we were on the same page ? pitching stuff, throwing ideas off one another in the locker room, but then come to find out? that wasn?t the case behind-the-scenes. We didn?t understand why stuff would keep getting shot down. Steph (Stephanie McMahon), agents and writers would come to us and say: ?we?re no longer doing this,? or ?this hits too close to home.? Whatever. There was definitely some stuff being said on the other end and that made it a struggle. She could have just been at a different place in her life, we all go through tough times or confusing times ? I just don?t really know what her case was. I?m sure people will start hating me for my own opinion, but that wasn?t a fun LayCool storyline for us. We had some good matches and I?m always going to do business, but I think I had a different experience with her than most people who wrestle with her or against her. I hope she?s completely happy now, she?s done some great things ? but like I said: she was never a dream opponent for me, and that?s all I really have to say about that. Wish her nothing but the best, hope she?s in a good place and enjoying life. Sadly, my most memorable thing with her is that I?m probably the only person in Glam Slam history to not have had their arms unhooked? ouch." The Associated Press sent out a list of major sports deaths in 2012. The only pro wrestler on the list was Chief Jay Strongbow. The only other name listed under wrestling was Jeff Blatnick.

The SLAM! Wrestling Staff wrote a story entitled "Those we lost in 2012" and listed all the notable names from pro wrestling that died in 2012. Among those listed were Savannah Jack, Doug Furnas, Joe Blanchard, Jay Strongbow, Gorgeous George, Jr., Don Fields, Stan Pulaski, Bobby Jaggers, David Deaton, Brad Armstrong, Seigfried Stanke, Buddy Roberts, Mike Bowyer, Gordon Nelson, Rip Hawk, and Bill Dromo. Part 1 highlighted every wrestler to hold the title throughout the 1980's, but begins in 1979 with the WWF North American Heavyweight Title, which was then unified with the WWF South American Heavyweight Title to create the WWF Intercontinental Title. Part 2 highlights the wrestlers that held the title throughout the 1990's. Oklafan congratulates Rage Logan, who's son Logan was born on December 29th.

Oklafan extends its condolences to the family and friends of Bill Dromo, who passed away December 28th at the age of 75. Dromo, who was sometimes billed as Bill Zybyszko, was a mainstay of the Georgia and Florida territories. He also had stints in Tennesee and Canada. In 1968, he spent 4 months in TSW, where he feuded against stars such as Professor Ito, Karl Von Stroheim, Krusher Karlsson, and Lorenzo Parente before losing a Loser Leaves Town match to Chuck Karbo on May 24th and leaving the territory. Dromo would continue to wrestle until 1982 when he finally retired after almost 30 years of wrestling.

The funeral for Bill Dromo will be January 4th at 2pm at the Chapel of West Cobb Funeral Home in Marietta, GA.
