WWE News: Is Ric Flair Returning Next Monday

That's right fans, Ric Flair's long-awaited WWE return may be happening next Monday.
According to Mike Johnson at PWInsider.com (via WrestlingInc.com):
People close to Ric Flair are saying that he will be returning to WWE at the October 29th RAW from Charlotte, North Carolina. The belief is that he will be getting involved in the storyline with AJ Lee, Vickie Guerrero and John Cena.
If this comes to fruition, it could be huge for the company. In fact, it very well could inject some life back into the current Raw product. However, it would also be surprising.
Earlier this month, Dave Meltzer at Wrestling Observer Newsletter (via WrestlingInc.com) reported:
Regarding Ric Flair's status, WWE still won't touch him until the lawsuit from TNA is settled. There's a policy right now to not hire anyone who was under a TNA deal at the time the lawsuit was filed or in Flair's case, near the time of the suit since he and TNA had already parted ways. It's said that Flair would already be back in WWE if it weren't for the TNA lawsuit.
I really have to wonder, if they are giving Flair a pass, will they start doing the same for other former TNA stars? Overall, I highly doubt that will be the case as Flair is a legend in the business and has played an integral part in the WWE throughout his career.
Ultimately, if Flair is coming back, one has to wonder how long he will be around for? Let's face it, Flair is in his 60s and should not be used in the ring. Yes, he has proven that he can still go, but does the WWE need another aging star taking up a spot?
As it stands, if Flair becomes GM of Raw he will already be getting more TV time than many stars on the current roster. Overall, we really have no clue what the WWE has in store for Flair, or if Flair will even be on Raw next week. Although if this does happen, it could prove helpful to the WWE as they have been in a ratings slump for a few weeks now.
In the end this is still just a rumor, and as we all know, everything is subject to change in the wrestling world. However, if this is the plan, next week's Raw should be a good one, especially following Hell in a Cell.
