The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that the legendary Harley Race was also backstage and not used at the "WWE Monday Night RAW 1000" in St. Louis, MO. Race has trouble getting around and passed being shown backstage sitting in a chair talking to guys or waving to the fans, there isn?t much they could have done with him.
In a recent blog, Jim Ross commented on Steve Austin not appearing at the 1000th episode of "WWE Monday Night RAW". He said ?We all missed Steve Austin not being there but with Steve under going major knee surgery just a few weeks ago and still hobbling around on crutches, it just wasn?t in the cards. I can assure you from talking to him on numerous occasions that he wanted to attend but it simply wasn?t physically feasible. Steve?s knee was in deplorable shape from the years of wear and tear on the football field and in the ring. Flying in an airplane for a few hours isn?t the smartest thing a guy can do in that condition especially so soon after surgery and before rehab has commenced. Most fans understand while a handful of jackasses who go into business for themselves don?t.?
WWE.com has some backstage interviews which were conducted after RAW 1000 last Monday night. The official WWE website caught up with Trish Stratus, Lita, Dude Love and Brodus Clay, Shawn Michaels, The APA (John Layfield Bradshaw & Ron Simmons), and The New Age Outlaws (Jesse James & Billy Gunn), to talk about their experience and thoughts on being back for the historic broadcast.
"Road Dogg" Jesse James is being groomed to be a top agent because of his loyalty to Triple H. Road Dogg is the brother of Brad Armstrong.
