WWE Hall of Famer Makes Appearance at NBA Playoff Game

WWE Hall of Famer Jerry "The King" Lawler made a surprise appearance during an NBA playoff game last night at the Fedex Forum in Memphis.

According to ProWrestling.net, Lawler appeared during the first-quarter intermission of the Memphis Grizzlies' home game against the Los Angeles Clippers to pump up local fans for their hometown team in their second game against the Clippers.

In his appearance, Lawler cut a promo about his Memphis roots and made mention of his infamous feud with comedian Andy Kaufman in 1982. A local wrestler planted as a "Clippers fan" then interrupted the playoff game announcer, making nods to local famous figures, one of which included the former host of Mid-South Wrestling Dave Brown.

After the promo, Lawler proceeded to deliver his trademark piledriver to the "fan."

A fan in attendance for the game recorded Lawler's appearance on video and uploaded it to YouTube, which can be seen here.

The Grizzlies managed to score a win over the Clippers with a score of 105-98, to tie their series of games with both teams having won one game apiece.
