The Dick Tracy cartoon is still doing its wrestling themed storyline. They have a character drawn to be Jerry Lawler called Jerry King, who is a television announcer. His sidekick, named Michael, is drawn to look nothing like Michael Cole. On Wednesday, Jerry King was talking about what a great match we just saw where Tojo Yamamoto & Johnny Long won the tag team titles from The Mighty Yankees, who were all Tennessee wrestlers in the early 70s.

TMZ has obtained video that reveals the cast of WWE Legends House. The video shows Roddy Piper, Jim Duggan, Tony Atlas, Jimmy Hart, Hillbilly Jim, Pat Patterson, Howard Finkel, and Gene Okerlund doing a Zumba dance class in Palm Springs, which Hacksaw is not doing well at. Jim Duggan was at the Variety Club telethon in Iowa this past weekend.

Jeff Jarrett has announced that he has been cast for a role in the film "Spring Breakers". The film, which will be released on 2013, stars James Franco, Vanessa Hudgens, and Selena Gomez.

Ric Flair was at the Los Angles Lakers game Friday night and announced the second quarter of the game. The back story is that Mychal Thompson, one of the Lakers announcers and a local talk show host is a huge Flair fan. Thompson went to the University of Minnesota several years after Flair but was a big fan in those days, and later, when he played for the Portland Trail Blazers, did some angles for Don Owen, the wrestling promoter there. So it was booked to surprise Thompson with Flair showing up. Thompson went crazy seeing Flair. They talked about Flair going into the WWE Hall of Fame a second time among other things. Flair was in Los Angeles that weekend doing an autograph signing on Saturday at Frank & Son's in City of Industry, CA.

Last Tuesday night during ESPN's broadcast of the Indiana University vs. Michigan State University basketball game, there was a pileup of guys going down and announcers Mike Tirico and Dan Dakich described it with wrestlers names saying John Cena, The Big Show, and Pampero Firpo were out there.

Oklafan congratulates Bad Bromance (Justin Lee & Max McGuirk) who recently surpassed 1 year as MWA Tag Team Champions. They defeated Dutch Hagen & Stevie Caballero for the titles on March 4, 2011 at a show in Spavinaw. However, MWA has not run a show since November 4, 2011 and appears to be inactive.

Paul Linam had reconstructive knee surgery last Friday. Oklafan wishes him a speedy recovery.

Oklafan extends its condolences to the friends and family of Doug Furnas who passed away on March 2nd at the age of 50. There will be a memorial for Furnas on Friday night at 6pm and the funeral is set of Saturday at 2pm. Both are being held at the Commerce High School Gym in Commerce, OK where Doug and younger brother Mike (who was also a pro wrestler) went to school.

Several people in the wrestling community commented on the passing of Doug Furnas:

- The Blue Meanie: Just read that Doug Furnas died from Parkinson?s disease. Very, very sad news?.R.I.P

- Lance Storm: It seems like the rumors are true and Doug Furnas has passed away. I met him in SMW in 94 and worked with him in ECW in 98. Great guy RIP

- Taz: Extremely sad to hear of Doug Furnas passing away. Great talent & a great guy. Very sad, a good man. RIP.

- JBL: very sad day. I really liked Doug Furnas as well-great talent and great guy. RIP to a great pal!

- Jim Ross: Sad to hear of the death of fellow Oklahoman Doug Furnas. Doug was a powerhouse, amazing drop kick, & damn good man. A sad day. RIP friend.
