JR's Blog: Boston Raw, Mr. McMahon, Lesnar to WWE, Rock-Cena Biggest Ever PPV?, PG Can Work, Is JR Retired?, Bodacious, WWEShop News

Really enjoyable Raw Monday night in Boston. First time I've re-watched a MNR via DVR after watching it live in recent memory. Here are more thoughts and more of your questions addressed.

Very memorable Raw going into the MITB PPV this Sunday in Chicago with one of the best Raws leading into a PPV in a good while. MITB felt like a one match PPV until last night and the 6 man tag and the fantastic MITB video package resonated with me.

Nonetheless, MITB is ostensibly and primarily about John Cena/Cm Punk/WWE Title. I have no issues with that. With that said, I fully expect that there will be some spectacular moments in the ladder matches and let's hope that some enterprising young talents will use these opportunities to step away from the pack. Again, it's about maximizing one's minutes and the minutes will be available to make an impression for every man in the ladder bouts.

One thing about Raw...even though there was edgy language such as one used to hear on Seinfeld, etc, the program stayed PG but was a strategic, edgy PG which worked well in Bean Town.

Question time.....

Who's going to win between UFC's Chael Sonnen and Brian Stann in a few weeks in Texas? Citing Octagon rust, I'd lead toward Stann even though I am a Sonnen fan. The long layoff doesn't seem as if it will do Chael any favors .

Will UFC's Brock Lesnar be returning to WWE? Certainly not in the ring or on TV any time soon. Lesnar has a gig and it's called UFC. That's his professional address and will remain such for the foreseeable future. For those that keep asking me this same question, I simply attribute it to 'wishful thinking.' Sorry, folks, Lesnar returning to wrestle even a 'one night only ' gig isn't that likely....ever.

Is JR retired? No. Absolutely not. I have many projects in the works and that includes WWE On Demand, some potential DVD work, and working closely with WWEShop @ http://www.wweshop.com/Caategory/JimRoss in building our JR's brand worldwide. Plus, who knows, perhaps I return for the occasional TV appearance from time to time? For the record, I never plan on retiring to a 'Boca Del Ray Vista-like' retirement compound. I enjoy staying busy.

Will Rock vs Cena be the biggest WWE PPV of all time? Hard to say but that's a tall order. Depends on several things including what sort of TV interaction Rock/Cena have leading into the event, what else is booked on the card, and how disposable income holds up in our trying economy. Building a rivalry on Twitter is one thing but nothing replaces actual TV face time which I could theoretically see occurring after the first of the year but that's merely personal speculation.

For @JohnCena vs. @TheRock they have to engage on Raw face to face at some point prior to WM28.

Does it bother me to hear my work/voice on WWE video packages? Why would it? I'm proud of my body of work in WWE and whenever they choose to use it I feel a sense of accomplishment. It was fun hearing a few of my sound bytes Monday night in the MITB Ladder Match video package which I felt was really well done.

Did McMahon secretly buy TNA two years ago? What?! Please, stop drinking the bong water.

Is WWE TV better with Mr. McMahon on it? Absolutely....when strategically placed. The Mr. McMahon persona was essential and effective Monday night.

Where does WWEShop ship JR's products? I am not sure where they DON'T ship. Check out http://www.wweshop.com/Category/JimRoss for all the details. WWEShop has been shipping all over the globe because I'm getting Tweets @JRsBBQ from everywhere from folks who are ordering.

Was CM Punk 'PG' Monday night? He was in my opinion as was the entire Raw show. It's a subjective thing one can argue but my value judgment is that I would have no issues watching Raw with youngsters. That's sort of the 'parental guidance' aspect of being PG, right?

I used the term 'Bodacious' Monday night in a tweet and it got almost as much attention as people seemingly lusting for WWE Ice Cream bars. Bodacious has multiple meanings but I always think of the bucking bull in pro rodeo who was so dangerous that he had to be retired somewhat early in his career. Great footage of this badass on You Tube. Almost a ton of destruction.

Why does Sin Cara need to learn English? Uh, to communicate with the VAST majority of his fan base who buy tickets, PPV's, and merchandise.

Can Summer Slam follow the MITB Ladder Match? Tougher question than it sounds as the Punk-Cena issue is scorching right now and what will the status of that matter be, or not be, come August and Summer Slam in LA?

Is JR going to attend MITB this Sunday in Chicago? No plans whatsoever at this time but you can bet that I will be grilling and watching the event on PPV without fail.

Chicago's All State Arena and the fans that support WWE there are extraordinary. One my most memorable moments in my entire career occurred in that arena. No, not the Country Whipping Match vs. The Coach, but the night I was announced in 2007 as going into the WWE Hall of Fame. The crowd embraced me in a way that I will always be indebted and that I will never forget.

Am I a member of the Cauliflower Alley Club? Absolutely...I am, a life member, and I really don't understand why all fans and the wrestlers themselves don't support this wonderful, charitable organization. To learn more check out http://www.caulifloweralleyclub.org. I will be attending the CAC function in April of 2012 in Las Vegas as are many notables.

Thanks for stopping by and paying us a visit. We hope that you continue to support our efforts of getting JR's family of products distributed globally as many of you are currently doing placing your orders at http://www.wweshop.com/Category/JimRoss. Watch for some big news coming soon on that front.
