WWE Hall of Famer Bret "Hit Man" Hart made a surprise appearance Sunday at the Over The Limit pay-per-view in Seattle, Washington to help out a former rival and fellow Hall of Famer, Jerry "The King" Lawler. The duo had quite the feud in the WWE days which started at the King of the Ring in 1993 when Lawler ambushed Hart during the coronation ceremony. Lawler eventually spent a couple of years bashing the Hit Man and his family with insults until the Kiss My Foot match at the 1995 King of the Ring when Lawler ended up with Bret's foot down his throat and later kissing his own feet. At the pay-per-view yesterday, Hart came out after the match to help out Jim Ross and Eve Torres force Michael Cole back in the ring. Bret then put Cole in the Sharpshooter and Cole eventually "kissed" Lawler's foot and afterward
the two former enemies embraced in the ring.

At the TNA house show in Amsterdam, NY on May 20th, Road Warrior Animal, Paul Ellering, James J. Dillon, and Matt Borne (as Doink) came out during intermission to meet the fans. Amsterdam, NY is home to The Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame & Museum.

TNA's head of Talent Relations, Terry Taylor, is leaving TNA effective May 31st. According to a source, Taylor gave his notice last week, despite signing a four year contract in 2009. TNA Wrestling issued an official statement regarding his departure: ?Terry Taylor, TNA Director of Talent Relations, has decided to leave TNA effective May 31, 2011. TNA is grateful for Terry?s contributions to TNA?s growth and wishes him success in his future endeavors.?

With Taylor's departure, Bruce Prichard is moving up in the power hierarchy. He's been calling various non-TNA wrestlers over the last several weeks to see if they have interest in coming in. There is a lot going on in the company right now in terms of various people choosing sides.

Regarding the Hulk Hogan/Mick Foley skit from "Impact Wrestling" last week it was edited by at least 5-7 minutes. The original version had Hogan, Ric Flair, and Eric Bischoff come out after the Sangrito match and Foley came out on the ramp and did his promo and introducing Chyna who got a huge pop. However, about half an hour later they re-taped it with Jeff Jarrett and Karen Jarrett (the part they used on Impact after the commercial break) with Foley in the ring because Spike wanted Hogan and Foley face to face in the ring according to Mick Foley himself. In the first part Flair mocked Foley on how the hell he wanted people to chant "IMPACT WRESTLING". Flair said nothing the second part. Chyna got only a small pop when she came out for the 2nd time.

Mick Foley apparently wasn?t TNA?s original choice as the representative for ?The Network? storyline reports The Wrestling Observer Newsletter. This same report also speculated that another 90s wrestling star was in mind, but a deal couldn?t be made. Despite the tease on television, this name wasn?t Bill Goldberg, who Hulk Hogan has stated many times in the media that he wants to bring in as a potential ?game-changer?.

Goldberg recently posted a video that he shot while flying in a helicopter over New York City. The video is only 13 seconds long but at the end was a surprise as to who was in the helicopter with him. To view the video, click here.

Ring of Honor's Kevin Kelley was a recent guest on Monday Night Mayhem and among the subjects he discussed was ROH Tag Team Champion Charlie Haas. He believes that Haas is ?closer to the end of the road? & why he feels that Haas wants to ?set the standard of how professional wrestling is measured? at this stage of his career: ?For Charlie, this is closer to the end of the road, and he?ll be the first to tell you that. He?s got about three years left, and he wants these final three years to be spent in Ring of Honor, where he sets the standard of how professional wrestling is measured, and he wants ROH to be the first level of biography.?

After it was announced that Ring of Honor had been sold to Sinclair Broadcasting Group LLC, Charlie Haas posted the following on Twitter: "ROH purchased by Sinclair Broadcast Group LLC. A 600 million Dollar publicly traded company. First TV taping in August. Big Things for ROH! "

Championship Wrestling International ran a show on May 14th in Brantford, Ontario, Canada with Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash, X-Pac, Ted DiBiase, Virgil, Scott Steiner, and a bunch of other people, and drew about 4000 fans.

The Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame in Amsterdam, NY did inductions this weekend including Bronko Nagurski and Everett Marshall as Pioneers, The Sheik and Dick the Bruiser in the TV Era category, Jerry Lawler and Ivan Koloff for Modern Era, Billy Robinson in International, The Road Warriors and Paul Ellering in Tag Team, Judy Grable for Ladies, and Vince McMahon in the "Colleague" category.

In its story on the passing of Randy Savage last week, The New York Post listed Ultimate Warrior as a wrestler from the 80s and 90s who had died.

Oklafan was saddened to learn of the death of "Macho Man" Randy Savage, who passed away at the age of 58. Savage, with his wife Lynn, crashed his car into a tree, an incident which may have been brought on by a heart attack while driving. Savage was a second generation wrestler, son of Angelo Poffo and brother of "Leaping" Lanny Poffo. He played minor league baseball in the St. Louis cardinals and cincinnati Reds minor league systems. During that time, he wrestled under a mask as The Spider to conceal his indentity. After being released from his baseball contract, he ditched the mask and wrestled using his real name Randy Poffo, in Georgia and Florida. When Ole Anderson mentioned to him that he wrestled "like a savage", he changed his name to Randy Savage. The Poffo family formed their own wrestling company, International Championship Wrestling, which ran out of Kentucky and was a rival promotion to Jerry Jarrett's promotion in Tennessee. This was where Savage got his first major singles push as he feuded with his brother Lanny Poffo over the ICW Title. In 1983, Savage went to Memphis and feuded with Jerry Lawler. When ICW folded and his brother & father came in, they feuded with The Rock-N-Roll Express. But Savage's biggest moment came when he moved to the WWF. He defeated Tito Santana for the WWF Intercontinental Title, which he would hold until losing it to Ricky Steamboat at WrestleMania III, in what is still considered one of the greatest wrestling matches of all time. Savage was the most in demand free agent at a time when managers were plentiful in the company. Shunning all of them, he brought in Miss Elizabeth and the pair became the unofficial "First Couple"" of the WWF, especially after Savage won a tournament at WrestleMania IV for the vacant WWF World Title. He would hold that title for one year, losing it at WrestleMania V to Hulk Hogan. He won the King of the Ring tournament in 1989, gaining the services of Sherri Martel and dubbing himself the Macho King, but was forced to retire after losing a match to The Ultimate Warrior at WrestleMania VII. That brought a reconciliation with Elizabeth and a marriage ceremony. The wedding was for WWF story purposes. The pair had been married for several years and their relationship was on the rocks at the time of this angle. Savage regained the WWF World Title by beating Ric Flair at WrestleMania VIII and held it until losing it back to Flair at Summerslam in 1992. He began to transition away from the ring and do color commentary, something he'd done during his forced retirement. His last major WWF feud was with Crush, which ended at WrestleMania X. In 1995 he moved to WCW, where he would feud with Dallas Page as a member of the New World Order and capture the WCW World Title 3 times. He also formed Team Madness, a collection of valets which included Mona (the future Molly Holly), Madusa and his then-girlfriend, Gorgeous George. He stayed in WCW until 1999, then entered a more serious period of retirement. In 2004, Savage spent about a month in TNA, appearing on 2 PPVs before leaving the company. The next year he worked with World League Wrestling, taking part in training sessions with Harley Race's students. But during that session, he took a bad bump and injured his back, which prevented him from ever returning to the ring. He also released a rap CD and had a featured role in the first Spider-Man movie portraying a pro wrestler named Bonesaw McGraw. Savage only had one documented Oklahoma appearance, defeating Mr. Wrestling II at at WWF event on September 21, 1985 in Tulsa. Oklafan extends its condolences to Savage's family and friends.

Chris Chase wrote a blog for Yahoo Sports starting that with the recent passing of Randy "Macho Man" Savage, over 25% of the performers at WrestleMania VII have died. The list of those that have died include Savage, Miss Elizabeth, Andre the Giant, Mr. Perfect (Curt Hennig), British Bulldog (Davey Boy Smith), Dino Bravo, The Texas Tornado (Kerry Von Erich), Joey Marella, Road Warrior Hawk, Hercules, Earthquake, Crush, and Big Bossman. Fans who wish to send messages of condolences to the family of Macho Man Randy Savage can do so by sending an e-mail that his brother Lanny put up at InMemoryOfRandy@gmail.com. Lanny, who wrestled in the old WWF as "Leaping" Lanny Poffo and The Genius, changed the front page of his website at LannyPoffo.com to just a photo of Randy with his theme music in the background to honor his late brother.

Randy "Macho Man" Savage will be cremated and his ashes co-mingled with the ashes of his loyal pooch, Hercules. Savage?s brother, Lanny Poffo, told TMZ that the dog?s ashes were spread around Randy?s favorite tree several years ago, and after Randy is cremated his ashes will be strewn there as well. Lanny told TMZ that Randy would always say, ?If it?s good enough for Herc, it?s good enough for me!? And although the Macho Man was one of the most beloved wrestlers of all time, there won?t be a public memorial, because he didn?t want one. The service will be small ? for family only.

Ric Flair appeared on the radio show ?The Drive? on 610-AM in Charlotte, NC last Friday to talk about the death of "Macho Man" Randy Savage. Echoing the statement of fellow WWE Hall of Famer Bret ?Hit Man? Hart, Flair said that Randy?s death hit hard adding that it?s pretty sad considering he just got married again over a year ago and seemed to be at peace with himself. ?He just had a phenomenal career and to have this happen is just really, really sad,? Flair said. Flair had a big angle with Savage in his first WWE run which peaked at WrestleMania VIII at the Hoosier Dome in Indianapolis, IN. Flair and his then-manager Mr. Perfect were torturing Savage over the fact that Flair had Elizabeth before Savage did, showing photos on WWE television of the two together. Eventually Savage defeated Flair at WrestleMania with a handful of tights and became the WWE World Champion for the second time with Miss Elizabeth in his corner. ?That was a huge day for me and my first dance at WrestleMania,? recalled Flair. ?Curt Hennig, God rest his soul, managed me and Liz managed Randy and we gave them a hell of a show and it was awesome. That was my first Mania and one of the finest memories of my career.?

A bald-headed Ultimate Warrior recorded an 18 minute video paying his respects to his former opponent and one time partner the late Macho Man Randy Savage. Warrior said that the wrestling world lost a lot of people to some self-destructing behavior but Randy was happy and healthy and said it was really surprising to hear that Savage suffered a heart attack. Warrior is visibly shaken during the video and his message seemed as sincere as it can get. The two had a memorable feud which started with Macho Man costing Warrior his WWE title at the Royal Rumble in 1991 against Sgt. Slaughter. Then they fought a retirement match at WrestleMania VII which Warrior eventually won. The two then teamed up for a short time and wrestled at SummerSlam 1992 at Wembley Stadium in London, England. In his video, Warrior mentioned that WrestleMania VI when he won the WWE title from Hulk Hogan as the highlight of his career but the WrestleMania VII match with Savage was up there with it especially with the whole back story. "I remember I had to negotiate with Randy over how many flying elbows vs how many press slams for the finish," recounted Warrior. He said he didn't know how Randy was going to react when he pinned him with one leg and both his arms up but Randy was such a pro. "I gotta be honest," said Warrior fighting back tears, "the Ultimate Warrior had nothing on you Macho Man when it came to intensity. Nothing." To view part 1, click here. For part 2, click here. The producers of the highly-anticipated wrestling documentary, "The Circus: Live Free, Die Young", have announced the film?s DVD release date ? September 10, 2011.
