Breaking Treyfabe: B Is For Bite

Breaking Treyfabe: B Is For Bite

Posted: Feb 14th 2011 By: CMBurnham

Was a fun little weekend of local wrestling here in Tulsa.

Missed the first match at Elote on Friday night due to my need to dominate at local retro trivia?.but here are some highlights of the evening ?

- The GrassHopper procured a victory of She Guevara.
- She Guevara was seen talking to La Omega de Huracana later in the evening?.could he be the next member to join the Revolucion.
- In a fun match for the love of the Bar Fly, Princessa de Cerveza beat Gold Digger. Both were knocked out after a double clothesline ? the referee was also knocked out ? so the Bar Fly made his decision and draped Princessa?s arm over Gold Digger for the victory.
- After the match, in perhaps the most romantic moment in wrestling history since Miss Elizabeth said ?oh yeahhhhh? ? the Bar Fly made a proposal to Princessa to be the one to share a tab with him for the rest of his life.
- Since Moses Manson escorted Gold Digger to the ring, I think this match could be a springboard to what could be the first mixed tag team match in Elote history, with Moses and Digger versus Princessa and Bar Fly.
- There were many other wrestlers from other federations in attendance, including some outlaws and bad boys ? and at least one person who needs to be deported.

Compound was just as entertaining, perhaps one of the more entertaining shows I?ve seen in a few months.

- They opened with a gauntlet match, and in a move that I think was intentional to throw this blogger off the trail of the truth, the first two members of the match were Chris Morrison and the Canadian Luchador. (See my debut blog for more on this story).
- Thus, the Canadian Luchadore has become ComPro?s version of Doink/Suicide.
- I honestly think I should get a booker fee from the powers that be at ComPro, they may think they pulled a fast one on me and the other fans ? but we know the truth. Still, well played.
- Morrison took some major bumps from Drake ?Raven? Gallows, including a powerbomb onto the ring while both men were outside of the ring.
- In the end, it was Prime Time Brandon Walker who won the gauntlet match, and a Money in the Bank type contract good for a title shot in the future.
- For those who remember, last year Richie Adams won a similar contract and utilized it to win the Heavyweight championship.
- Se7en and Jayson Boss wrestled for the X Division Championship, this match was more noted for a botched pele by Boss that fell about two feet short, and the Kingpin Mike Iles being mouthy with everyone from a group of little kids, the ladies in the concession stands, and an older gentleman who kept on calling Se7en 3 ?.
- Match of the Night belonged to the tag match of Stars of Chaos against X-Rated. Chaos was taking some mean kicks to the face from a surprisingly good X-Rated.
- Bobby Star with a mean bump to his head from the steel post as he tried a top rope maneuver.
- This match also properly utilized the ?hot tag?, which has been a sore spot in past tag team matches for the staff here at Breaking TreyFabe.
- In the main event First Blood match Dutch Hagen and Jesus Rodriguez was declared a draw after referee Chance Snodgrass saw both men bleeding at the same time. Just one thing, Jesus wasn?t bleeding, Dutch had squirted some ketchup on him (plan C for Hagan?plan?s A and B that he had were just as humorous).
- Mike Two announced at the next event that Dutch and Jesus would fight in a Hardcore match, and that the fans can bring the weapons. Last time the fans bought weapons to the match some friends I know bought a Jim Priest for Attorney General yard sign.
- Chance Snodgrass joined some impressive company as he officiated every match on the card. Last person I remember doing that was Nick Patrick at the nWo Souled Out event.

Some live blogging from TNA?s Against All Odds (sadly no appearances by Phil Collins) ?

- Big Poppa Pump cut an awful promo?I don?t care I was looking at Christy Hemme the whole time, swoon.
- Rob Terry is a massive hulk. I?d rather he be an offensive lineman for the Houston Texans.
- What is this, a six man tag team match ? I thought those were a lost art form.
- And we get a pose down between Rob Terry and Scott Steiner. The winner was Scott Steiner?s chest tattoo.
- After three impressive Double R Spinebusters, Scott Steiner busted out a Frankensteiner for the victory in the six man tag match.
- Nice submission victory by Samoa Joe over the Pope, D?angelo Dinero. Very solid match.
- I?m in love with Mickie James.
- Taz with mic FAIL, calling Tara ?Victoria?. Whoops.
- RVD with a great five star frog splash victory over Matt Hardy.
- Ray and Devon?s fued is the best brother fued since Nino Brown and G-Money in New Jack City.
- The New Jack City soundtrack had Color Me Badd?s ?I Wanna Sex You Up?, there?s your Oklahoma reference.
- The storyline between Jeff Jarrett and Kurt Angle is just a tad too creepy personal for me to enjoy. I hate when they get little kids involved.
- Am I the only one who is bored with ladder matches?
- This pay per view could quite possibly have set a record for crotch shots.
- Some commentary from the other staff writers in regards to the crotch shots ? ?Stu Hart hates this pay per view.? ? ?Somewhere Verne Gagne is killing an old person in a nursing home.?
- Ending was a little weak after what we think was a botched move?.it seemed Anderson was supposed to do a mic check and Hardy was supposed to pull the belt down with him. It didn?t happen this way but Hardy still won.
