Jim Duggan was backstage giving Eugene a pep talk after Eugene had been assaulted in the ring by Umaga. Eugene suddenly snapped and attacked Duggan, but quickly looked regretful about having done that.

WWE RAW World Tag Team Champion Kenny def. Ric Flair. Prior to the match, Flair brought out Sgt. Slaughter, Roddy Piper and Dusty Rhodes to counter the rest of the Spirit Squad. After Flair's loss, the other squad members attacked Flair 4-on-1 until the Legends entered the ring and cleaned house.

10-26 NWA-TNA Impact

New NWA World Champion Sting came to the ring for an interview, but Christian Cage was already waiting there for him. Cage said that Sting had been stealing his thunder for a long time now. He thought it was ridiculous that he had to compete in a tournament to determine the #1 contender to a belt that he never lost and never received a rematch for. Cage wondered if Sting was making him do this because Cage hit Sting with a guitar at No Mercy PPV. Cage said that when he looks at Sting, he sees a man who is afraid of not being the most important man in the industry anymore. He demanded that Sting give the fans what they want: Christian Cage vs. Sting for the NWA World Title. He finished by saying that it was time for Sting to stop hiding behind the face paint and be a man. Sting said that he would grant a title match to Cage, but it would be when he (Sting) wanted it to be. He then pulled out his baseball bat from under his jacket and attacked Cage, driving him from the ring.

Shane Douglas was in the ring. He announced that his newly-franchised Naturals were finally going to get their NWA World Tag Team Title shot. He introduced the Naturals, then left the ring area.

NWA World Tag Team Champions Latin American Xchange def. The Naturals. America's Most Wanted attacked LAX prior to this match beginning, but the Naturals were unable to capitalise on that and lost the match. Shane came down to the ring furious, getting in both Chase Stevens' and Andy Douglas' face. He slapped both men, but Chase slapped him back, knocking him to the mat and drawing a little blood from his mouth. Chase and Andy looked surprised and worried at what Shane's reaction would be, but Shane just smiled as if this was what he wanted all along.

A. J. Styles completed stage 1 of the Fight-For-Your-Right Battle Royal to determine the #1 contender to the NWA World Title, becoming 1 of the 7 men involved at that point. He was the last man to be thrown over the top rope, becoming the #3 cede in the tournament as a result.

An interview with Jeff Jarrett conducted shortly after Bound For GloryPPV was shown. Jarrett said that for the 1st ten minutes of the match, he had Sting's number, but then something transformed him and he became the better man. Jarrett is now going to head home and rethink his career. He said he's done more than he ever thought he would do in his career, but maybe he's dropped the ball on some things. He carried the company for 3 1/2 years, but now it's Sting's turn. He finished by telling Sting that he's exhausted and Sting had better watch out for what he wants as he's now the main target in NWA-TNA.
