The Scoop

NEWS
On the November 26th airing of "WWE Friday Night SmackDown!", they had a Thanksgiving segment which saw Rosa Mendes burn a turkey she was cooking for Hornswoggle. Then they showed Swagger yelling at Swagger Soaring Eagle. Hornswoggle wanted to eat the Eagle since the turkey was burned so he shot the Eagle with a bow-and-arrow which pretty much spells the end of that gimmick.

Some message board MMA fans have decided Jim Ross is senile because he believes Josh Koscheck is money. He called Koscheck the Ric Flair of MMA. Actually he's closer to a 90's Shawn Michaels but with more self awareness and a whole lot more drawing power. He also thinks a 3rd Brock Lesnar vs. Frank Mir match is the obvious no-brainer next match.

Paul Bearer nearly had a tragedy over this weekend as his father pulled his car into the driveway, thought it was in park, stepped out to help his mother into the car, as the car, in either reverse or neutral, started rolling backwards. As he tried to stop it, the car door knocked him to the ground, and dragged him for several feet including running over his right foot. The car continued rolling into the street until it reached the curb. His mother called 911 and called him. As it turned out, he was pretty beaten up, with scratches and bruises, and in a lot of pain, but suffered no broken bones. His parents have been married for more than 57 years

TNA's Dixie Carter posted the following on Twitter on Monday: "A. J. Styles broke his finger in Abu Dhabi on today?s show & had to go to the hospital to have it re-set. Never like injuries."

Mick Foley has a comic book out now from .12 Gauge comics. There is a big TNA ad on the comic book. Foley wrote the comic book with Shane Riches.

Mick Foley talks TSA pat-down and scans in a You Tube video you can see here.

There is a video interview with Mick Foley talking Mr. Anderson's concussion and how it hits close to home. You can view it by clicking here.

Mick Foley, Eric Young, Jeremy Borash, and Abyss go crazy over unknown Swedish rock band Sister Sin in a video you can view by clicking here.

The uncensored version of the Jeff Jarrett video from "TNA iMPACT!", including stuff edited off Spike can be seen by clicking here.

A video of Dwayne Johnson talks about one of the most famous out of the ring fights in wrestling history can be seen by clicking here. The story involves his grandfather, Peter Maivia, and Billy Robinson, which took place while on a late 60's tour of Japan. When talking about his family being so tough, besides his grandfather, also not mentioned who he was talking about was "uncle" Haku.

The final shows of the American Wrestling Rampage tour in France drew solid crowds. Lille on November 16th did 1,900 people, November 20th in Cournon D?Auvergnes did 1,500 and the final show of the tour in Rouen did 2,400 with Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin over Booker T & Scott Steiner in the main event.

Oklafan would like to send its condolences to Ray Martinez, who's father passed away on Monday.

Actor Leslie Nielsen passed away this past Sunday at the age of 84. Nielsen, best known for his comedic roles in "Airplane!" and the "Naked Gun" movies, was part of the ?fake Undertaker? angle in 1994 at "WrestleMania X" when he went on a search for the real Undertaker leading up to "SummerSlam" where he appeared as well. Several wrestling stars remembered Nielsen and posted comments on the internet:

- Paul Bearer: So sorry to hear of the passing of Leslie Neilson. Myself and The Undertaker had the opportunity to work with him in the 1990s in the WWF.

- Howard Finkel: RIP Leslie Nielsen, who passed today. Got to meet him at Summer Slam ?94; nice man. He was great in his roles in Airplane & The Naked Gun!

- Dolph Ziggler: Heard Leslie Nielsen has passed away, surely he is doing research for Dracula: Dead and Loving it Part 2!?..and don?t call him Shirley :)

- Dave Lagana: In heaven they are serving fish or chicken but one man is having lasagna. RIP Leslie Nielsen

- Goldberg: RIP Leslie Nielsen??..

- Tara: Leslie Neilsen will be missed. RIP He was one of my favorite actors

- Chris Jericho: ?Nice beaver?? RIP Leslie Neilson

- RVD: R.I.P. Leslie Neilsen?probably the funniest man I?ve ever seen.

- Scott Norton: RIP Leslie Nielsen! I was fortunate enough to sit beside & chat with him on a flight from Tokyo to L.A. a few yrs. back. He was a class act!
