NEWS
NWA Southwest released their rankings last week. In the NWA Texas Heavyweight Title ranking, Charlie Haas is still champion. Other ranked include Spoiler 2000 at #4 and NWA Oklahoma Heavyweight Champion Michael Faith at #9. In the NWA Texas Junior Heavyweight ranking, Jasper Davis is champion. Others ranked include Cody Jones at #4 and NWA-OK Texoma Champion Dane Griffin at #10. In the NWA Texas Tag Team ranking, Impeccable (Ken Carson & Joey Diamond) are champions. Other teams ranked include Excellence Personified (Michael Barry & Lars Manderson) at #5.

WWE announced last week that they will have a house show at the Oklahoma City Arena in Oklahoma City on March 13, 2011. Tickets go on sale at 10am on January 22, 2011. The Oklahoma City Arena is formerly known as The Ford Center.

Regarding Mae Young, among those in the know it is generally believed that her 1939 debut is a worked date, and the real date is most likely early 1941. No records can be found from before that date, and she herself on "Monday Night RAW" said she was 17 when she debuted, which would have been around 1941. People who have wrestling magazines from the 1950s also note that the stories written about here then always listed her debut date as 1941. She is still an amazing woman.

Last week, Shawn Michaels and Triple H were all over TV in Atlanta, GA hyping up the WrestleMania 27 tickets and one particular topic for discussion during an interview with Triple H was the rumor of Goldberg being inducted into the next class of WWE Hall of Fame. Triple H said that Goldberg is trying to get into the Hall of Fame and if there are any rumors about a Goldberg comeback, ?he probably started it.? The issue of Goldberg came up when Triple H was asked about his favorite opponents and mentioned guys like Goldberg who were his least favorite. He then brought up the fact that Goldberg hasn?t wrestled much to be even considered Hall of Fame material. Using Twitter, Goldberg replied to Triple H?s remarks. ?Everyone is entitled to their own opinion,? he wrote. ?They do have a point if induction is based on tenure??

Shawn Michaels will be a guest and celebrity rider at the 4-R Performance Horses Celebrity Slide on December 3rd in Oklahoma City at the State Fairgrounds.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that Jack Swagger's Soaring Eagle mascot was among the cuts by WWE last week.

The George Tragos/Lou Thesz Professional Wrestling Hall announced its 2011 Hall of Fame class which will include Gorilla Monsoon and Dory Funk, Jr. along with Jim Ross and Jim Duggan also receiving awards.

Most everyone in WWE wants Jim Ross back. Of course, only one person's vote counts, and no one knows how Vince will vote, except Vince McMahon himself.

Regarding Jim Ross calling the Daniel Bryan-Jack Swagger match on "Old School RAW", Chris Jericho posted the following on Twitter: "The difference between JIm Ross and Micheal Cole is the difference between Paul Newman and Paulie Shore."

WWE United States Champion Daniel Bryan posted the following on Twitter: "Just watched Monday?s RAW. Jim Ross is still the absolute BEST. It was an honor and a thrill to hear him to do commentary on my match."

For those wondering, the segment on the ?Old School? Raw involving The Iron Sheik, Nikolai Volkoff, Vladimir Koslov, and Santino Marella didn?t go originally as planned. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that when Sheik started cutting a promo about Hulk Hogan while Slick was making his entrance, it wasn?t a mistake by the Sheik as Santino was supposed to introduce Slick after Sheik cut his promo. Obviously confused, Sheik started going into his promo as Slick made his entrance. Reportedly, Santino apologized to Sheik after the segment was over.

The wrestlers had the time of their lives last week at "Old School RAW", particularly those that grew up around the business. Nexus was watching Roddy Piper's promo intently. The WWE Legends were excited to meet some of the third generation guys as well, particularly Michael McGillicutty, son of Curt Hennig, since everyone loved his dad, and it was one of those nights where they got to see people like Tamina, daughter of Jimmy Snuka, and Husky Harris, son of Irwin R Shyster, who some hadn't seen for awhile all grown up and out performing. The biggest pop of the night both in the building and backstage was Mae Young calling Laycool sluts and bitches, and even Vince chuckled at that one.

The new WWE book titled The WWE Championship: A Look Back at the Rich History of the WWE Championship will be released on Tuesday and will feature 320 pages of stories from many of the past Superstars who at one point held one of the most prestigious belts in wrestling history. Written by Kevin Sullivan, the book will chronicle the history of the WWE title with comments from Shawn Michaels, Bret Hart, Triple H, The Iron Sheik, Stone Cold Steve Austin and much more. Amazon.com is selling the book for $18.48.

Beth Phoenix returned to the ring this past Sunday at WWE's "Survivor Series" following six months on the sidelines after she underwent surgery to repair a torn ACL. The 30 year old attacked Michelle McCool and Layla during the show following their title loss to Natalya, payback for what they did to her back in May. Phoenix ? then the Women?s champion ? tore her ACL during the "WWE Superstars" tapings in a match against Rosa Mendes and a week later on "WWE Friday Night SmackDown!", the LayCool duo wrestled the Glamazon in a two on one handicap match which ended with Layla pinning her to become the new champion.

While he has been gone since October, The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that the expectation is that Sting will sign a new deal with TNA when they intend to bring back what has been described as ?A-list? babyfaces to take on the Immortals group. Kevin Nash is also expected back despite stating on Twitter recently that he hasn?t re-signed with the company. There are reports that a deal had been agreed to in principle between both Nash and TNA. It?s possible TNA believed they had come to an agreement and Nash changed his mind.

TNA is currently working on a new Sting DVD that will be a 2 or 3 disc set for 2011.

The deal to bring in Ricky Morton as an agent to TNA has fallen through. Morton claims the deal fell through because he wouldn?t be given any power. Reportedly, TNA specifically told him he would have no input on match finishes or creative, and would instead help talent lay out matches only.

Mick Foley was on Sirius Radio's "OutQ's Derek & Romaine Show" and spoke out about bullying. You can a video of that excerpt by clicking here.

Mick Foley has a comic book called "RPM" that was released Wednesday to comic book stores nationwide. It's a four-issue mini-series written by Foley and Shane Riches, with art by Jose Holder, published by Gauge Comics.

All across the major malls in Abu Dhabi they've been advertising TNA wrestling with photos of Jeff Jarrett, Abyss and Jeff Hardy. The shows are November 28th to 30th but TNA is not listing them.

Ric Flair is booked on December 16th in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada to give a speech for Icons Uncensored.

Kayfabe Commentaries has released a new DVD entitled "Guest Booker with Dutch Mantell". On the DVD, Dutch talks about Vince Russo, being a booker is like being a coach, the murder of Bruiser Brody, and so much more. They have released a trailer for the DVD on You Tube which you can view by clicking here. You can order the DVD at KayfabeCommentaries.com.

Filsinger Games has received permission to produce Lou Thesz and Val Venis as part of the "Legends of Wrestling Card Game" series.

Jim Neidhart did an interview on 1360AM in Philadelphia. He said he?s in a good place and his recent legal issues are behind him. ?Everything is good, and I?m in really good shape right now,? he said. ?I?m always looking to get back to the ring, and Philly has a lot of great independent promotions.? When asked whether he thought Vince McMahon takes care of talent, he said: ?It?s not his job? It?s not his job to tell us how to save our money or monitor what we did after leaving the company. Sure, he ran us into the ground, but no employer is responsible for that.?

In the November 9th edition of The Scoop, we congratulated La Reina de Corazones for surpassing 6 months as NWA Oklahoma Women's Champion. That was actually an inaccuracy. When La Reina defeated Tasha Simone for the NWA Women's World Title on October 2nd, she was required to vacate the NWA Oklahoma Women's Title because she won a higher ranked title. The NWA Oklahoma Women's Title is still vacant now. We apologize for the error.

Oklafan would like to wish a speedy recovery to Michael York, who had knee surgery last Thursday.
