Lots of random thoughts to cover from our Q&A's and from Twitter.....

If the NFL officials simply enforce the rules that are written and not over burden the game officials with more judgment calls and suspend flagrant offenders for helmet to helmet hits the issue will be managed just fine. Getting national newscasters and politicians involved is useless and unnecessary. Please don't try and over legislate the game of football because of knee jerk reactions. And for goodness sakes, keep politicians out of the game.

Damn right Brock Lesnar will be tested Saturday night in Anaheim during the next UFC PPV. Cain Vel?squez is fighting for a cause,or so it seems, his heritage, but more importantly Vel?squez is a great athlete who has won at every level of amateur and professional competition. Plus, any heavyweight in UFC is always only one punch away from ending his night's work. I see Lesnar winning Saturday but not without having a great night of stand up defense and using his size advantage appropriately. Lesnar being already at 265 and shredded is a scary thought for any human being who has to deal with the baddest man in MMA.

What does being voted #1 in the BCS poll mean in mid October? Nothing.

Thanks to a few obnoxious Texas fans who Tweet me that OU is undeserving of their #1 BCS ranking and that Texas deserves the credit for OU's success. I actually predicted that Texas was going to beat Nebraska last week plus I am not a Texas 'hater' but I do dislike burnt orange ignorance. Thank goodness all UT fans aren't delusional.

If you want to know when WWE is coming to your city, simply contact your local arena and not me. I can help you however order some BBQ Sauces, Chipotle Ketchup and Beef Jerky.

Michael Cole does not deserve to be piled on like many are doing. Michael is fulfilling a role on a fictional, TV show. He has been 'cast' to play this role as best as he can. For those that have never sat in that particular seat, let me assure you that it isn't easy. Cole's new persona must be working because never before have so many fans, for better or for worse, commented on Cole's work.

Since debuting in pro wrestling in 1974, no organization has afforded as many opportunities for minorities than has WWE. The reason that I bring this topic up is some Twitter followers are questioning same. Trust me, WWE is so far ahead of any organization in the history of the business in this realm that it's not even close. I remember the days when the territories had unwritten quotas to have only one black wrestler full time in their territory. Sad. Plus, the names that the Caucasian promoters would give the black wrestlers usually screamed of racial stereotype.

We're getting too many emails from fans who are 'offended' by what they see on TV wrestling shows. Do you know what I do when I'm offended by a TV program? You got it...I change the channel. TV viewers should not become overly concerned about what they cannot change regarding a TV broadcast.

The WWE isn't planning on any WWE On Demand tributes to Mid South Wrestling because WWE doesn't own the footage of Mid South and that's not because WWE hasn't tried. For me to be a part of the recent WWE image video was both a surprise and a true feel good moment. I am very proud of my work in WWE over the years, the great people that I have worked with there and the company as a whole that has provided my family with a great quality of life. It's cool to know that my grandkids can hear my work as the years roll by thanks to www.wweclassics.com and WWE On Demand.

Kenny Powers, HBO's East Bound and Down's central character, is so old school, wrestling territory-like. Always looking for one more 'break,' convincing himself and whoever else will listen that he still 'has it,' and playing the ever present 'con game.' This is one of my favorite shows and could just as easily be about an aging pro wrestler as it is about a washed up baseball player.

If you follow me on Twitter, @JRsBBQ, please understand that many of my Tweets are intended to elicit a touch of controversy and much of what I Tweet about is with tongue in cheek. In other words, I don't see Twitter as a platform to explore serious issues at least in my world. I do promise you, however, that you won't be bored.

Yes I do think that Goldberg could be a nice edition to WM27 in Atlanta if all the stars were aligned correctly. Bill is still in good shape and certainly n adequate enough shape to go out and have a solid match with the right guy. (No, I don't know who the right guy is but I do know that it isn't the Undertaker.) I get asked Goldberg questions several times a week for the record.

The second question is would Goldberg be a nice addition to the WWE Hall of Fame TV presentation in Atlanta? Absolutely and particularly if he were wrestling the next day. While on the subject of the WWE Hall of Fame class for 2011, I haven't heard any hot rumors recently so it would seem as if this year's inductee list is still wide open. I do wish the TV show aspect of the induction ceremony was longer than an hour.

How many times do I have to reiterate that I am NOT retired? I still work for WWE. Hitting the road 51 weeks a year plus fulfilling the other commitments required of me would be a daunting challenge. Of course I miss the adrenaline rush of broadcasting a live, TV show but not so much that I want to commence traveling every week. I am and always will be a team player and have no issue packing a bag if I were ever to be called upon, which I don't expect to happen BTW. It seems as if some visitors to this site or who follow us on Twitter are oblivious to this matter and are perplexed as to my job description. I'm not perplexed and nor should you be. I'm grateful to be in the business that I love and more importantly to be healthy.

I'm heading to Columbia, Missouri via Kansas City this Friday to attend the showdown between Big 12 unbeatens Oklahoma and Missouri. Then, on Sunday morning, I'm flying from KC to Minneapolis to attend WWE's Bragging Rights PPV and provide what help that I can prior to the show going on the air. Once the PPV starts I will enjoy it from the arena/locker room area as a fan. I plan on watching it with Joey Styles and company. It's always good to see my many, old friends at these WWE PPV events. As usual, the King and I will meet up on Sunday and ride to the arena together just like old times. Some things never change and for that I am thankful.

Naomi is so much better than her opposition on NXT, in my opinion, that it's not even close from an athletic stand point. I'm not saying that the other Divas might not make it in time but Naomi has the athleticism to be a big time player in the years to come. If Naomi isn't a future Divas Champion then I don't know BBQ Sauce and we sell the best Sauce in the world.
