The troll explanation

The troll explanation

Posted: Apr 27th 2010 By: mikeiles

I was thinking about this today after seeing yet another post on a wrestling message board by some moron that went to a recent indy show and then ran his mouth nitpicking about everything he saw, including the building the show takes place in.

Here's the issue I'm going to explain. The internet trolls sit back and blow all kinds of crap out of their big mouths from behind a keyboard, having never spent thirty seconds of time in a ring themselves, let alone having any idea what we do. Then, if a wrestler dares to speak up saying "who are you to talk?", they jump all over us carrying on about "we have the right to an opinion", or "I know all about it because I read dirt sheets" or some other such nonsense such as that.

Now we get to my explanation of why it is different when it comes to these idiots running their mouths like know it alls about professional wrestling vs. people being a so called "armchair quaterback" talking about football, or someone watching a baseball or hockey game and going off to their buddy about every mistake they see in the game. The difference is this: maybe that guy cussing at his TV when his favorite football team blunders a play, or his favorite baseball team, etc., used to actually play that sport themself. If so, that gives them free reign to sit there and say "when I played, I would have done such and such different." Another good example: If Roland Emmerich watches a low budget film, he has every right to critize it if it sucks, because he makes blockbuster films like 2012.

So, internet trolls, before you run your mouth about anything, ask yourself a few simple questions.

When was the last time you wrestled a good match? Oh wait, that's right...you don't wrestle. You peck a keyboard when you couldn't last 5 minutes in the ring.

When was the last time you promoted a successful show? Oh wait, I forgot...you've never done that because you have no clue how the wrestling business works from the inside. You'd be lost if somebody asked you to drive the ring truck to the building for a show, let alone promote it.

So as I've said before, remember this trolls...the worst wrestler on any given show is still better than you. At least they actually made it into the business.
