The ShootTalkers did a roast of Zane Morris recently and it can be viewed on You Tube at YouTube.com/watchv=kC9qP7N81d8.

The Oklahoma-Mexico Connection (Doberman & Pablo Chuco) were stripped of the NAWA Tag Team Titles on October 3rd after attacking their previously scheduled opponents Kayden Von Erich & Clayton Brooks with a wrench before their tag team match could get started.

An article on Jerry Lawler's run for mayor and a taped interview is at MyFoxMemphis.com. He talked about abolishing the school board, doing away with the job of superintendent of schools, and having the mayor be in charge of city schools. He said the city needs to be run like a business and the key is that you can't spend more money than you take in.

Joey Styles hosted a WWE 24/7 Legends roundtable show on the lost art of managing and southern wrestling last Wednesday. The panel consisted of Jim Ross, James J. Dillon, Michael Hayes, and Jimmy Garvin. Bill Watts was originally scheduled but didn't make the taping due to travel issues.

For the past week there has been a rumor about Bret Hart appearing on WWE television in the near future as the relationship between the two sides seem to be the healthiest ever since that unforgettable night at the Survivor Series in 1997. In a recent radio interview, Smackdown commentator Jim Ross said that Hart is now open to the idea of doing what he always said he wouldn't - appear inside a WWE ring for a WWE show. Ross added that Hart is not looking for a full time gig but maybe a guest appearance here and there. Also on JR's Q&A website one fan asked what is more likely to happen ? Bret returning or Fedor going to UFC. Ross said that he sees Bret returning before he could ever see UFC signing the Russian mixed martial arts fighter. Hart last appeared on WWE TV at the Hall of Fame ceremony in 2006 where he was inducted however he did not go to WrestleMania the next day as all the Hall of Famers do for their yearly appearance. Vince McMahon sort of "broke the ice" after Hart suffered a stroke and called him multiple times at the hospital as the road of recovery between the two kicked off. Bret then fully co-operated for his popular three disc DVD and chose the matches himself and even agreeing for a one hour sit down interview which was included in the DVD. When Hart visited the WWE headquarters in Stamford, CT to work on the project a photo of him and Vince McMahon shaking hands was quickly splashed on the front page of WWE.com.

TNA just signed Matt Morgan and A. J. Styles to new five-year contracts with the company.

Time Warner on Demand has Sting vs. Samoa Joe from TNA's "Bound for Glory 2008" show in their Events Free Preview section

Ric Flair's original NWA "Ten Pounds of Gold" title belt that he wore from 1981-85 during the Jim Crockett Promotions era is earmarked for auction next week. This was the belt used before the "Big Gold" NWA title was introduced in 1986. Highspots.com, who did business with Flair when he retired from wrestling last year, say they will put the belt up for sale on eBay unless Flair pays them back money he owes from a personal loan. Flair had given the company his belt as collateral on the loan. He also owes a substantial amount of money to Ring of Honor for personal appearance dates he was advanced that he pulled out of. The talk among those in the collecting community, and this is based on two expert opinions, is that the belt could fetch between $60,000 and $100,000. Those on the Flair side of things said that this could become a legal issue if Highspots actually does put the belt up for sale. They also said that a major point of contention is the extra time Flair spent at the NWA Fanfest in August that he allegedly wasn't contracted or paid for, plus the sale of a Harley Race-Ric Flair Q&A DVD. Organizers of Fanfest said that Flair was paid an additional fee for his extra time above the contracted rate. On a related note, Flair recently parted ways with The Gillespie Agency who was handling his bookings. The agency currently represents Roddy Piper and Mick Foley.

A Ric Flair fan in Asheboro, NC won the top prize in the Ric Flair Whoooooooooo! scratch lottery. Frankie Shirley won $100,000 ($68,001.60 after taxes) and said he was going to use some of the winnings to go on vacation. Perhaps he could buy that NWA World Title belt going up for sale next week.

Tiffany VanderMark, Ric Flair's 3rd and most recent ex-wife, was on the "Unholy Matrimony" radio show last week and noted she was disappointed that Ric was returning to the ring to wrestle Hulk Hogan in Australia. She said: "The WrestleMania and the Hall of Fame was so unbelievable... it was such a proud moment. No matter what I've been through with him, I was really, really proud to be part of that... It's really unfortunate that he's coming back under these [financial] circumstances, because that should have been the last day he wrestled. It was phenomenal and he should have been proud of that and it should have stayed that way." You can listen to the show via iTunes at UnholyMatrimonyShow.com.

Eric Bischoff was on BetweenTheRopes.com discussing the upcoming Hulk Hogan tour in Australia. He noted they are looking at doing a highlight show that would air on pay-per-view internationally as well as a DVD release. He said the proposed Hulk Hogan-Ric Flair TV project would be more documentary than reality based and focus on them returning to the ring.

Shane Douglas canceled his ECW reunion show "due to numerous circumstances beyond our control" that was planned for November in Philadelphia, PA.

Roddy Piper's son, Colt Toombs, won his MMA fight last Friday night in Oregon over Matt Slosser, breaking his opponents nose in the process.

The Showtime TV series "Full Color Football" about the history of the old American Football League, included an interview with Wahoo McDaniel discussing his career.

During ESPN's "SportsCenter" on Thursday night, when a Dodgers player tripped a Padres player, basically doing a drop toe hold, the announcer referred to it as a Greg "The Hammer" Valentine figure four leglock.

There is a book called 1,001 Movies You Must See Before You Die. There are no movies with Dwayne Johnson (The Rock), Hulk Hogan, or Roddy Piper on the list.
