NEWS
The Oklahoman ran a story entitled "Ringmasters" about Mid-South Wrestling Alliance and Tom Jones two weeks ago in both their paper and on their NewsOK.com. To read the story, go to the website at www.NDepth.NewsOK.com/RingMasters?custom_click=lead_story_photo.
Blake Albright suffered a broken nose backstage while warming up last Tuesday. He was originally scheduled to compete in the tag team match on "ECW on SyFy" against Vladimir Kozlov & Ezekiel Jackson. Although he was unable to compete in the match and was replaced by Brandon Groom (who competed as Brandon Young), Blake still appeared on "WWE Smackdown!" (along with his brother Brent Albright) as two of the photographers during Melina's entrance. Due to his broken nose, Blake also had to cancel plans to attend the Harley Race Pro Wrestling Camp this week. Oklafan wishes him a speedy recovery.
Several Oklahoma talents appeared on camera at the WWE Smackdown & ECW TV Tapings from Tulsa. ComPro owner Mike Two, AWOL & Karl Davis all appeared as security guards during "The Abraham Washington Show".
Danny Hodge attended the "WWE Smackdown!" and "ECW on SyFy" tapings in Tulsa. Hodge, 77, sits on the Oklahoma Professional Boxing Commission, which regulates professional boxing, wrestling, and MMA in Oklahoma.
Jack Swagger's family attended the "WWE RAW" live telecast on September 21st in North Little Rock, AR.
Jim Ross is pushing the idea of inducting Ron Simmons into the WWE Hall of Fame next year.
Jim Cornette was at the Ring of Honor event on September 26th in New York, NY. He came out and said "I had some free time so I thought I'd drop by." Cornette discussed his release from TNA and said he did not curse out Vince Russo. Cornette said Dixie Carter and Terry Taylor told him he was released because he was not 100% behind TNA and creative and Cornette said if you mean Russo then I am not behind him and he wished them the best in their future endeavors. Cornette asked the fans if they were sick of certain angles in wrestling, and ROH makes stars, not buys them. Cornette then stated as of that afternoon he has accepted the executive producer position of the ROH TV show on HDNet. Austin Aries, who defeated Petey Williams in the match just prior to Cornette's appearance, came back out and said Cornette came to ROH because Cornette can't get along with anyone. Aries then said Cornette has never been good with politics and he would make Cornette famous by getting him fired from WWE, TNA, and ROH. Aries said Cornette was power hungry. Cornette said the fans wanted a champion who faced the best competition. You Tube has a video of Cornette's ROH appearance at YouTube.com/watch?v=J2ywTkCC1WQ. Cornette's official role with ROH is not as booker although most expect he'll have a lot of input once he gets familiar with everything. He will be television executive producer. Both Adam Pearce and David Lagana will retain their roles.

There was a photo of Spyros Arion, Mario Milano and announcer Jack Little.
