Ever since Ric Flair attended the New Orleans Hornets game a few weeks ago, they play Flair doing "Whooo!" and the crowd also does "Whooo!" whenever Chris Paul scores, which is relatively often. It used to be when Baron Davis scored, but he's no longer with the team. It dates back to when they were the Charlotte Hornets and the owner, George Shinn, was friends with Flair.

Last Thursday on the TV show "TMZ", they showed the video of North Carolina congresswoman Sue Myrick paying homage to Ric Flair and they ran various video clips of him in their segment. The TMZ.com website ripped on the U.S. House of Representatives for the honoring of Ric Flair on Tuesday. "The economy has gone to crap. Our foreign policy is a disaster. So what is the House of Representatives doing to make the US of A a better place? Honoring Ric Flair, stupid!"

WWE returns to the Tulsa Convention Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Tuesday, July 1st, 2008 at 6:30 PM. Tickets go on sale Saturday, May 10th, 2008 at 10 AM. This is the first WWE event in Tulsa since September of 2006.

Bill Watts has been confirmed for the May 3rd edition of "Peach State Pandemonium. The show starts at 11am Eastern and can be heard at GeorgiaWrestlingHistory.com/psp/home.html.

WWE Hall of Famer Verne Gagne, who is almost 82 years old, will miss the May 3rd "Legends of the Ring" autograph show in Cataret, NJ due to an undisclosed operation.

The Chicago Bears web site at ChicagoBears.com/news/NewsStory.asp?story_id=4568 has a story on famous people who were drafted by the Bears. Verne Gagne is a 14th round pick in 1947.

Nu Wrestling Evolution is claiming that its June 25th show in Barcelona, Spain headlined by Ultimate Warrior vs. Orlando Jordan is already almost sold out.

Compound Pro Wrestling will be holding a benefit show for the Edison Wrestling Club this Friday at Sheridan Avenue Christian Church. Tickets at the door are $10, but if you mention the special codeword "compoundpro.com", you can get the tickets for the advance price of just $7. Oklafan senior editor C. M.
