NEWS
Trevor Murdoch fooled the wrestling world when his retirement speech turned to betrayal. On a recent episode of “NWA Powerrr”, Murdoch revealed he played the fans and all of the NWA for fools. He then donned a crown and robe, in a nod to his mentor Harley Race, declaring himself King Trevor Murdoch I.

Recent WWE Vault additions include Ric Flair vs. Brock Lesnar from the July 1, 2002 episode of “WWE Monday Night RAW” and a full Mid-South Wrestling episode from November 16, 1984.

Cody Rhodes recalls Aaron Solo's failed attempt "shoot his shot" with WWE's Fallon Henley during their time in AEW together: “He often talked about you very fondly and very sincerely. Like ‘She’s so pretty, she’s really smart’ this whole thing. He didn’t talk a lot if you remember? Not ‘Mr. Personality’. Last time I saw him I reintroduced myself to him, because that’s how limited our conversations have become over the years. He had said so much that we were all like ‘Well you should go talk to her.’ This is a basic, common, you learn this in high school, ‘You should say hello, you should ask her if she wants to hang out, you should do anything. Anything other than talk to us about it.’ We were all sitting adjacent to the elevators, Marriott, Jacksonville, Florida and it’s important with the way I remember the story. You walked in and you had a bit of a social club there, there was a group who was always together, it was a good crew. Always seemed to be in good spirits which was good for me because my time there was up and down. You walked in and you had a bag of Arby’s and he literally nudged me and he goes ‘I’m gonna go say hi to her, I’m gonna do it.’ And I thought ‘great, do it' here he goes. Now we’re watching and we’re not roasting him, we’re not giving him a hard time, we’re sincerely looking, hoping this goes well. No one is making fun of him which is normally what guys, what we do to each other. You walked past, so he missed that first opportunity and then it’s even weirder now because he trails you to the elevator and you have a group so it’s not looking good. And then you turn and smiled at him, you were very nice. Then he just looked at you and he said ‘Arby’s huh?’ And I feel like I could hear you say because we were far away at this point, and I just heard ‘Yeah.’ And then the elevators shut in my story and then you went away. Then he came back to us. Why would you even walk back to us? Walk to your car, drive away, leave this city. All that talk, like a month of build up. All that for that moment? ‘Arby’s huh?’ He shot his shot I suppose and that was it."

Bruce Prichard spoke on the Chris Park (Abyss) situation that was shown on “WWE Unreal”: “There’s cameras everywhere. There’s cameras around you all day long; you forget there’s cameras on you, and in that scenario, yeah man, it’s live TV. You know who they’re gonna come to at the end of the day if the show doesn’t work or the show doesn’t go off on time or doesn’t work? They come to me, okay? That’s the end of the story, and I’m responsible for it. In communication, sometimes things get lost in communication. Also, the beauty of documentaries and the beauty of editing is you can create stories, and you don’t get the whole story, all the time, and anybody who knows Chris Park knows what a wonderful human being he is and he’s one of the sweetest guys on the face of the earth, extremely talented, and really good at what he does and cares. I mean, just cares, and he’s a beautiful soul. He really is, and you know, Chris takes everything to heart. If you are in a situation… you’re asking a question, you’re not getting an answer, or I’m not getting the answer that I need — if I ask you what time it is, I don’t want to get the history of watchmaking; I wanna know what time it is. If I ask you, ‘How much time do we have left?’ I don’t wanna hear, ‘We’re getting close.’ I just need a number. Tell me, help me, and that happens literally every week on every single show, and it was good TV… I watched the entire series but it was one of those — had it on while I was in here working. So I haven’t sat down and just watched it. I did watch that particular scene and thought it was hilarious, thought it was great. But you know, Chris is Chris and Chris is awesome so, anybody that takes that for being a bully or anything else, you’ve never worked in live television and you’ve never worked in real life, and if everything has to be sugarcoated for you, I feel really, really sorry for you. Because life’s tough, and in order to make it sometimes… you gotta be able to take it or get out. If you can’t take it in the kitchen, get the hell out of the kitchen, and Chris can take it, and he does his job and he does a damn good job at it.”

While appearing on “Insight with Chris Van Vliet”, Jeff Jarrett was asked to name his Mount Rushmore of TNA. Jarrett said “I don’t think you can not have one without A. J. (Styles), and I know from a business perspective Sting was a massive get early, and then when he signed. You look at Kurt (Angle), so those three almost are kind of givens. But when you get into that fourth one, you have, to me, you know, in a lot of ways you could say the Knockouts division, long before the Women’s Evolution, and you know, if the narrative is that Vince McMahon took professional wrestling out of smoky bingo halls and put it here. Well, TNA took the bra and panties and put it into competitive women’s wrestling. But anyway, that 4th spot, there’s a lot of, you could put X Division there in totality, you could put the Knockouts, I think when you look at the O. G.s that really came along, I mean, Abyss is in that conversation. The fourth one is always a tough spot.” Jarrett never revealed who the 4th spot would be.

Jeff Jarrett recalled having to wrestle immediately after Owen Hart's fatal fall at WWE’s “Over The Edge 1999”: “I’ve covered this a couple of different times. I can talk about it so much more clearly now than I could in Kansas City that afternoon. As Owen would always do, he would find a little nook and cranny. Anyway, we were dressing in kind of a makeup room connected to a bathroom, a little area. He had done the rehearsals, and I was after him, and they called him, ‘Owen, you got to go up, get up.’ So I’m in the dressing room by myself, doing what I always do, tape and getting stretched and all this. The screen came, ‘Jeff, you’re up now.’ I knew that wasn’t right. I’m just like, Owen, there’s no way he’s even had time to get to the ring. I was right, and you know, I just knew. Matt Miller busted in and said, ‘You’re up.’ I’m like, ‘Owen’s up.’ He goes, ‘No’. I said, ‘Well, what happened?’ He said he fell. That stopped the match, not good. He fell. So then there was a T-shirt. Grab my T-shirt, run down there. I knew how to promo beforehand, and as I’m walking through the backstage area, that is the heaviness, and I’ve processed this so many different times, I can live it, I have visualized it, I can visualize it. Kevin Kelly, we get in front, me and Debra and have the interview, Owen’s being wheeled by 10 feet apart. Crazy emotions, hollering, and screaming, and you know 15-20 people following a gurney, and all this, and 3,2,1… Whatever I said, the heaviness was, which I had no idea, but it was on me, and then leave there, like the format process goes, go straight to the ring, and I remember walking out, doing my stuff, and getting up the ring, feeling the top rope, and it was like super, super loose. At the time, again, none of that really processed, and then I walked through the ring, I’m like, damn, but I didn’t really understand that at the time. Went through the match, and came back through the curtain, Matt and a cop were there, and I said, Let’s go. The cop said, ‘You want to get your stuff?’ I said, ‘Give me 30 seconds.’ I literally threw my stuff, got in the car and the cop is driving really fast and he didn’t answer my questions two or three times. I said, ‘Officer, please can you let me know anything? ‘And he just kind of looked over his shoulder and said, ‘It’s not good, Jeff.’ So again I’ve processed this, I didn’t grieve it at the time. In 2017 I went through a deep process to grieve it and really understanding what I went through then, because we went to the service in Calgary, stayed up all that night, went and did RAW the next day. It was go home, change your clothes, pack, go to Calgary, the service, back at work.”
