Sting was in Highland Park, CA on December 28th to watch his son Steven wrestle on the Defy Wrestling show. He talked to some of the talent by the ring before the show and watched it from the production booth.
WWE uploaded the complete Ricky Saints vs. Je’Von Evans main event from the December 30th episode of “NXT”.
WWE Vault this week is celebrating Golden Week, posting new content from the 80s and early 90s. New content includes a dark match between Dusty Rhodes and Mr. Perfect from February 23, 1990, and “Amazing” Ultimate Warrior footage. Later in the week, WWE Vault put together a four-hour video of classic Roddy Piper footage.
WCW’s YouTube channel posted an untelevised rematch for the WCW World Title between Ron Simmons and Big Van Vader from December 30, 1992.
While speaking on his podcast, Jim Ross was asked who he considered to be the worst signing from his time as WWE’s Head of Talent Relations. Here was JR’s response: “I think maybe the one that we wasted a lot of time on was Tiger Jeet Singh’s son. Tiger Ali Singh. Nice kid. Good looking. Smart. He just didn’t have the natural ability to connect to the audience. He looked good. He looked the part. Vince [McMahon] loved him, and what Vince was looking at was opening up international markets, where Tiger Ali Singh would have been a viable option. But it was funny. When I signed him, he wanted—he almost demanded—to fly first class. I kicked that idea back because that’s not what Vince wanted to do, and Vince would have squashed it anyway. So we had a compromise. He would fly first class on the last leg of his tour. When he got off the plane in Toronto—where he lived, where he’s from—he would be with that group of first-class passengers that got off the plane first, so people could see him get off first and assume automatically that he was riding first class like a star. So we did that for him, and it still didn’t work out. But I wish it would have worked, because he could have made a fortune in international markets without question.”
Oklafan congratulates GBA (Drake Gallows & Colton Kinnamon) for surpassing 1 ½ years as ASP Tag Team Champions. They defeated Hell’s Kitchen (The Canadian Red Devil & The Lunchador) for the vacant titles on June 30, 2024 at an event in Bethany.
Brock Landers has been suffering from spiked blood pressure, shortness of breath, chest pains, and elevated heart rates, and recently had surgery to put a loop recorder on his heart to record rhythms. Oklafan wishes him a speedy recovery.
Oklafan congratulates Brandon Groom on the birth of his great niece Elouise on January 1st.
