Adam Copeland told AMNY that he and his wife Beth Phoenix are considering the idea of opening a wrestling school: “One thing we have talked about is maybe starting a type of finishing school, where, if there are people within the industry that feel like they’re just missing a little something, [well] come on down to Asheville because you got F. T. R., you got me, and you got Beth Phoenix. We’re debating that and then just seeing if that’s a time commitment that we even have at this stage.”

Rob Faint of RingTheDamnBell.Wordpress.com/ wrote a story entitled “Top Five Best Wrestlers with Face Paint” and among those listed was The Road Warriors and Sting. Among those he gave Honorable Mention to was The Great Kabuki, Ultimate Warrior, and Doink the Clown. To read the story, click here.
A horse named The Fabulous Moolah won the fifth race at Young Lakes in New York as a 15-to-1 underdog.
There was something akin to a back body drop during an NFL game last Sunday and the announcer referenced “Jimmy Superfly Snuka” and “Ricky the Steamboat Dragon.”
Oklafan congratulates Killbane, who has surpassed 6 months as UWE Heavyweight Champion. He defeated Koko for the title on March 9, 2024 at an event in Tahlequah.
Oklafan congratulates The Blue Bolt on his engagement on September 9th.
Oklafan congratulates Devion Black on the birth of his son on September 12th. Oklafan also congratulates Alex Royal and Zac Royal as they are both uncles to the newborn.
Oklafan also congratulates Devion Black on the birth of his nephew on September 12th as well.
Oklafan extends condolences to Ryan Davidson on the passing of his mother Carole on September 11th.
Oklafan extends condolences to the family and friends of The Shadow, who passed away in his sleep on September 6th. No official cause of death was noted at the time this was written, but it is suspected he had a heart attack. He was 54 years old. Shadow. who also competed as The Enforcer and Doom, but whose real name was Tim Ward, was trained by Tom Jones and Skandar Akbar. He created the character of The Shadow, pattering it after the original Spoiler (Don Jardine). Often he would call upon his background as a magician to enhance his character, doing basic tricks such as throwing fire. Unfortunately, much of Shadow's career took place in the early to mid-1990s, a time where information is very sparse. He is known to have been banned from a wrestling company for intentionally breaking a wrestler's arm. Early in his career, he was part of The Brotherhood of Pain faction, holding the PZWA Tag Team Titles with members Chains and Slash. He also held the PZWA Title once. Most intriguingly, he was champion of the Unified Wrestling Federation (which Oklafan lists as UnWF) on two occasions. This is a company that we have no record of, but Shadow provided evidence that it existed in Oklahoma and showed pictures of the championship belt. After retirement, Shadow worked extensively with the Salvation Army Boys & Girls Clubs, eventually ending up as the director of Sapulpa B&G Club. It was in part because of his past as a pro wrestler that SRPW was allowed to regularly run events at that facility. In total, Shadow competed on 16 documented Oklahoma wrestling cards at the time of his death. The earliest was November 7, 1992, where he teamed with Slash and lost to the team of Wild Maverick & J. J. Mustang at a PZWA event in Tecumseh. The last, under his real name, Tim Ward, was a victory over Bobby Burns on July 17, 2005 at an SRPW event in Sapulpa. Posts by Shadow's son on social media indicate that he was a devoted father and well regarded by his community up to the point of his death.
