NEWS
Pro Wrestling NOAH announced last week that former WWE Champion A. J. Styles will be participating in a match against Naomichi Marufuji on the Saturday, July 13th show “Destination 2024”. This was the major announcement that Pro Wrestling NOAH, along with WWE, hyped for last week. The match will air on the Abema PPV platform, the same platform which carries WWE programming and WWE Network in the
Japan. This will be the first match in Japan for Styles for a different promotion other than WWE since 2016. Styles had an illustrious career in Japan and is a former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion for New Japan Pro Wrestling.

Full matches added to WWE’s YouTube account on Tuesday include A. J. Styles vs. John Cena from “Money in the Bank 2016”.

The full 25-man number one contender’s battle royal from this past Tuesday’s “NXT” has been uploaded to WWE’s YouTube channel. The match was won by Je’von Evans and featured appearances by TNA wrestlers Joe Hendry and Frankie Kazarian. Though Evans won the battle royal, the ending of NXT appeared to tease that it will be a fatal four-way match at “Heatwave” with Trick Williams defending his NXT Championship against Evans, Ethan Page, and Shawn Spears. Page defeated Evans in the main event of the episode, then a brawl took place with Williams & Evans aligned against Page & Spears. All four were left laying in the ring with the NXT title between them.

AEW broadcaster Jim Ross will be honored by the Cauliflower Alley Club as the first recipient of its brand-new Jim Ross Announcers' Award. The award will be presented as part of the CAC's 58th annual reunion which will be held between August 19th and 21st at the Plaza Hotel and Casino in downtown Las Vegas, NV. Ross is a supporter and a lifetime member of the Cauliflower Alley Club. "The Cauliflower Alley Club is honored to recognize Jim Ross with this award, celebrating his unparalleled career and lasting impact on professional wrestling," the CAC said in a press release.
