Lance Archer tweeted Tuesday night that his flight attempted to land four times before finally doing so safely: “Well that was fun! Never had a flight attempt to land 4 dif times. But finally did safely. That’s the main thing right?!”
A. J. Styles has signed a new, multi-year deal with WWE according to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Wrestling. The new "mega money" deal is apparently well over $3 million per year, making Styles one of the highest-paid WWE Superstars on the roster. In a recent interview, the "Phenomenal One" said that he was happy being in WWE and it looks like he will be ending his illustrious career there. Styles, who is now 44 years old, joined WWE in 2016 and won the WWE Title twice, the Intercontinental Title once, the United States Title three times, and the RAW Tag Team Titles once (w/ Omos). He is now rumored to be wrestling Edge at WrestleMania 38 in Dallas, TX.
Last Saturday at WWE's "Elimination Chamber" pay-per-view, was the last time we could have potentially saw Bill Goldberg wrestling in a WWE ring. The former champion admitted a few weeks prior that he only had one match left on his current WWE contract and rather than wait until WrestleMania, WWE pulled the trigger and had him face Roman Reigns at "Elimination Chamber". In a video uploaded to his Instagram from the gym at his hotel in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, Goldberg said that this was "possibly my final mission in the wrestling world." He said after a long 13-hour flight, he was the first one in the gym and the second one was none other than Michael Cole, as he turned his camera around to show Cole training. Goldberg noted that this is "a bittersweet trip" as it may be his last time there as a performer and hoped that his hard work would pay off in the match. Goldberg lost to Reigns after Reigns choked him out in the guillotine in the opening match of the show.
Goldberg revealed on his "CarCast" podcast that he had COVID-19 heading into the Elimination Chamber and only trained for two weeks because of the virus. Goldberg said that when WWE called him to inform him about the plan to take on Roman Reigns in Saudi Arabia, he was dealing with coronavirus and had not trained properly for a few months. He said that he would have preferred if he had to wrestle Reigns when he was in his 40s rather than in his mid-50s but the reason he kept coming back is because wanted to give back to the business that made him famous. He said that his role in this program was to make Reigns look like a monster heading into his match against Brock Lesnar and obviously there was never a plan to win the title, leave for six months, and come back with the title. "I don't write the script, I just kind of follow it...kind of follow it," he joked, adding that he's always fighting an uphill battle, especially with fans now and the way social media is. During the podcast, Goldberg mentioned a documentary that is coming out showing how he prepared for this although he did not say if it's a WWE-produced documentary.
Goldberg appeared on last week’s episode of "WWE After the Bell", which you can watch by clicking here.
WWE’s YouTube channel uploaded MVP vs. The Miz for the United States Title from "Elimination Chamber 2010", Goldberg vs. Bam Bam Bigelow from "WCW SuperBrawl IX", and Goldberg vs. Bobby Lashley for the WWE Championship from "SummerSlam 2021".
WWE's announcement about The Undertaker headlining the Hall of Fame class of 2022 was obviously welcomed by fans, critics, and wrestlers. A locker room leader for the majority of his 30-year career in WWE, The Undertaker received many congratulations from his peers. among those that congratulated him was Ric Flair, who credits The Undertaker for helping him with his confidence issues when he asked to wrestle him at WrestleMania. "Congratulations @undertaker! This is as big as the day that Stone Cold @steveaustinBSR went in! Thanks for all that you’ve done for the business & for me personally! WrestleMania 38 bets bigger every day! WOOOOO!," the Nature Boy wrote. A. J. Styles has the privilege to say that he was The Undertaker's last opponent. "No one like him. He is truly a PHENOM in every sense of the word," Styles wrote. "A Hall of Fame career earned over 30 years of hard work and dedication in @WWE. Congratulations, Taker." "I knew the first time I ever met the @undertaker in the ring that he was destined for greatness," added Jerry Lawler. "It's been great to be along to watch your ride!! Congratulations my friend..."

In 2016, he transitioned to being an in-ring competitor full-time, adopting a persona he called the “100 Proof Redneck”. For the remainder of his career, he competed across Kansas for Prairie Championship Wrestling, Kansas Wrestling Alliance (where he held their Social Media Title), World Wrestling Xpress, and most notably in Xtreme Wrestling Entertainment, where he was the United Liberty Champion and, as a member of the The American Way with Eddie Ryder and Aaron Helms, the XWE Tag Team Champions. Sutton has one documented match in Oklahoma, a loss to Duncan Kincaid at the BCW event on October 13, 2018. XWE held a Memorial Battle Royal in Sutton’s honor at their event this apst Saturday.
