Ring of Honor announced that four performers will not be appearing on the "Final Battle" pay-per-view on December 18th. EC3, Bandido, Flamita, and Kenny King were all pulled from the show as a result of pre-travel COVID-19 testing. “All four performers are doing well and resting at home. ROH wishes them a speedy recovery and looks forward to their return to action in 2021,” read the statement. The resulting changes to the card will be announced on the preview show that airs immediately before the PPV.
In figures released by Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, "AEW Dynamite" surpassed the one million viewer mark on four different occasions throughout Wednesday's broadcast, leading to an overall average of 995,000 viewers for the whole show. Unsurprisingly, the Sting segment pulled in the most viewers. The Sting appearance came in the second quarter and that did a total of 1,069,000 viewers. The third quarter, which featured the FTR match and the segment with Adam Page at the bar also did well with 1,022,000 viewers. The fourth quarter, featuring the Shaquille O'Neal interview with Tony Schiavone and Brandi Rhodes went up to 1,063,000 viewers and the fifth quarter, which had The Inner Circle segment had 1,010,000 viewers. With the first Sting interview, the Shaq appearance, and The Inner Circle segment, it was expected that Dynamite would be a home run in terms of viewers and the numbers did not disappoint, especially the 18-49 ones which gave Dynamite one of the highest numbers since its inception.
Matches added to WWE’s YouTube include Mickie James vs. Alexa Bliss from WWE TLC 2017.
The WWE Network will be debuting "WWE Untold: Goldberg's Streak", on Sunday. Mike Tenay was the person who came up with the streak concept. It will be very interesting if the documentary on the streak mentions that fact.
Goldberg, appearing on "The Bump" on Wednesday morning, issued a warning to WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns and told him he's coming to get him. Asked if there is some unfinished business between him and Reigns after he appeared in the ThunderDome last month as a virtual fan watching Reigns vs. Braun Strowman, Goldberg said that it's one of "the most mild understatements" that he's ever heard. "He backed out on me at WrestleMania. He stole my move God knows how long ago and he continues to perform it at sub-par level. Let's be perfectly honest, I'm the dude who delivers the spears and I don't think he understands what it's like until I deliver one to him," Goldberg said. "So Roman, it's coming and I'm coming for you. I may be old and I may be grey, but I'm still Goldberg!" Goldberg was supposed to take on Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 36 but Reigns pulled out of the match a few days before, leaving WWE scrambling to find a new main event. Eventually, Braun Strowman was picked for the spot and Goldberg lost the Universal Title in the match. The former Universal and World Heavyweight champion was on The Bump to promote his upcoming WWE Untold documentary about the streak which debuts this Sunday on the WWE Network. Reigns responded on Twitter after Goldberg called him out on "The Bump" saying “I never wait in line. I am the attraction and I choose who’s next. And that’s Kevin Owens.“
Karrion Kross made his long-awaited return on NXT last night attacking Damian Priest after earlier in the show Priest made fun of Scarlett. Priest wondered if Kross was waiting in his car while Scarlett is out handling his business and warned her that if Kross wants to fight, all he has to do is face him like a man. Later during the show, Priest was trying to crash the Gargano celebration but Kross made his presence felt and attacked Priest as he was making his way to the ring. Kross then power bombed Priest through a table next to the stage and exited the building where Scarlett was waiting inside a car and the two sped away as Scarlett made an evil laugh. Kross has not been seen on NXT TV since the NXT on USA following Takeover: XXX when he won the NXT title. Kross suffered a separated shoulder in his match against Keith Lee but had to surrender the title due to his injury.

Oklafan extends condolences to family and friends of Steven Dane, aka Steve Casey, who passed away in his sleep on December 9, 2020. At the time of this writing, a cause of death has not been announced, nor is his age known. Dane, whose real name was Steve Sassas, was known to be wrestling as early as April 1985 in MSW as Steve Casey, competing against Dutch Mantell. By 1987, he was in WCCW, losing his first match to Tim Brooks. Three months later, he would return to WCCW, teaming with Matt Borne and defeating Black Bart & Jack Victory at the 4th Annual David Von Erich Memorial Parade of Champions event. Casey would continue to compete in WCCW with a mixture of success at the lower end of the card, though he never captured any titles. After a year of this, Casey made his way to WCW and though he would pick up the odd win here and there, again against lower-card talent, most of his year there was as enhancement talent. He lost to Norman the Lunatic on every match they had during the Great American Bash Tour in 1989. Casey left WCW in March of 1990 and 5 months later turned up in the USWA. Now known as Steven Dane, he engaged in feuds with Kevin Dillinger and Mike Davis. He even gained some victories over a young Steve Austin. By April of 1991, Dane had entered the GWF where perhaps his greatest accomplishments would occur. Dane would initially tag with The Handsome Stranger, but they were knocked out of the Tag Team Title Tournament in the first round by Rip Rogers & Scott Anthony. Dane would eventually find himself partnered with Gary Young as The Goodfellas and, after a couple of matches with no decision, they would dethrone Terry Simms & Scott Putski on May 1, 1992 for the GWF Tag Team Titles. They would hold those titles until July 31, 1992 when they lost them to Booker T & Stevie Ray, who at the time were known as The Ebony Experience. After that, Dane split his time between the GWF and BDW as well as making sporadic appearances in WCW. He also engaged in a feud with Chaz which led to a one-of-a-kind match: A Bungee Cord Match. Chaz won that match, but a new partnership was born and Chaz & Dane would become known as The Skyliners. On September 3, 1993, The Skyliners defeated Vito Falcone & Alex Porteau (subbing for Vito Mussolini) for the GWF Tag Team Titles, marking Dane’s 2nd and final reign with the belts. They would hold them until Christmas Day of 1993, losing them to Black Bart & John Hawk. Dane remained in GWF until June of 1994. He would reform The Goodfellas with Gary Young for a couple of events in Maryland, but left wrestling shortly after that. He came back for one match, a tag team match where he and Jeff Gaylord defeated Sam Houston & Tim Horner in 1998. He then left wrestling for good. He maintained connections with Chaz, and Chaz posted on his Facebook page he and Dane usually talked twice a week until the time of his death. Dane has 9 documented Oklahoma matches. The earliest was April 16, 1985 where he lost to Dutch Mantell in Oklahoma City on an MSW event. The last was October 1, 1991, where he def Ken Mantell on a WIA event in Ardmore.
