Foley (as Mankind) was using Mr. Socko to cheer up McMahon. The idea for Mr. Socko came from Al Snow. The fans loved Mr. Socko and eventually Foley began using it while WWF marketed and sold Mr. Socko sock puppets and T-shirts.
