-Special Referee for the NWA-TXO Championship Match on 7/28/2013
-Former high school wrestler. He was the first high school wrestler in Texas to be awarded a scholarship to college in wrestling.
-Was one of the pallbearers for David Von Erich's funeral
-He remains a close friend of the Von Erich family, and was "co-host" along with Kevin Von Erich for the 2004 Best of the Von Erichs DVD.
-At a WCCW event in Lawton, OK, the money was stolen and Manning pursued the thief outside. He shot at the thief, then ran out of bullets. He was then able to corner the thief and hit him in the face with the gun, causing him to bleed. By the time he returned to the building, this story had turned into one where Manning shot the thief in the face!
-One of many of the interviewees of the "Heroes of World Class" documentary
-Hosted the Dallas Easter Seals Telethon for 17 years.
-Was a Fellowship of Christian Athletes leader.
