-Wrestled most of his career as Jesse Barr until entering WWF, where he was renamed Jimmy Jack Funk. He was originally billed as a cousin to Dory Funk, Jr. and Terry Funk. It was later changed to be he was their brother who was kept in the Funk family basement because he was wilder and crazier than Terry. This would have meant he was also billed as the nephew, and later the son, of Dory Funk, Sr.
-While in the WWF, it was explained that he was an amateur wrestler who missed out at competing in the 1980 Olympics do the US boycott. This was all for storyline purposes and was in no way true.
-Was fired from the WWF after getting into a backstage altercation with Haku. Rumor was that Haku gouged one of Funk's eyes out, but that story was refuted by Haku, who said he deliberately made sure NOT to severely injure Funk.
-Wrestled under a mask as Mr. Wrestling in Georgia and Japan. He is not to be confused with Johnny Walker, who is the most well know wrestler to use that name.
-Wrestled under a mask as The Assassin in Mid-Atlantic. He is not to be confused with Jody Hamilton, who is the most well known wrestler to use that name.
