Other Facts: -Fritz and Waldo were billed as brothers. According to some sources, they were distantly related through marriage (Waldo was a distant cousin of Fritz's wife, Doris), but that cannot be confirmed nor denied at this time.
-Fritz is the father of Kevin, David, Kerry, & Mike. His youngest son Chris also wrestled, but only in Texas.
-Waldo was billed as the father of Lance but neither were actually related
-Kerry had 2 daughters, Lacey and Hollie, that were involved in wrestling. Lacey wrestled for TNA for a time and Hollie worked as a valet in indies in Texas. Hollie co-hosts a podcast called "Growing Up Von Erich" with her cousin Kristen (Kevin's daughter).
-Marshall and Ross are the sons of Kevin. Marshall and Ross host a podcast called "The Iron Claw Cast".
-Others have used the Von Erich name and claimed to be family members but were not, such as pro wrestlers Karl Von Erich, Mark Von Erich, Kayden Von Erich, and Karen Von Erich, and MMA fighter Layn Von Erich. There have also been musical bands that used the name such as The Dead Von Erichs and The Von Erich Suicide Mission. The only non-family member who has used the Von Erich name with Kevin's blessing is Jaret Reddick, lead singer for Bowling for Soup, who has been credited as Jaret Von Erich on some of the band's CDs.
-Fritz, Chris, David, Kerry, Kevin, & Mike were inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as a group in 2009
-Voted Feud of the Year (Marshall & Ross vs. The Arrow Club) and Match of the Year (5-21: Marshall & Ross vs. The Arrow Club) in the 2017 Oklafan Year-End Awards
-The family's turmoil was the subject of an episode of VICE's "Dark Side of the Ring" in 2019. The episode was entitled "The Last of the Von Erichs" and mostly centered around Kevin being the last surviving member of his family and generation.. The episode was narrated by Dutch Mantell.
-In 2023, a movie, "The Iron Claw" was released, detailing aspects of the lives of the Fritz, Kevin, David, Kerry and Mike. Chris was omitted completely from the film.
-Ranked #39 in the 2020 PWI Tag Team 100 (Marshall & Ross)
