-As Magic Dragon, he wore a mask and was billed from Macau. He was unmasked after losing a match to Kuniyaki Kobashi on June 8, 1985
-Trained as a wrestler, but actually made his debut as a referee in 1974 when one of the regular AJPW referees was sick and they needed a replacement.
-Trained several Japanese pro wrestlers, including Akira Taue and Kenta Kobashi, who are considered 2 of the "4 Pillars of Japanese Wrestling"
-Portrayed The Great Kabuki in Georgia and other small shows when the original Kabuki (Akihisa Mera) became so popular his manager Gary Hart began to double book him. Mera was working for WCCW at the time and WCCW Fritz Von Erich would not allow Mera to take bookings outside of WCCW. Sonada had the same body type and mannerisms so he took the gimmick elsewhere.
-Passed away on November 28, 1987 at the age of 31. He and his bride were on a plane flying to South Africa where Sonada was booked by Tiger Jeet Singh on a wrestling show, but the plane crashed. Ironically, the pair were also on their honeymoon.
