-Was allegedly supposed to win the WWF Intercontinental title from Tito Santana. But Santana missed some shows due to a legitimate leg injury and in an effort to keep the injury "kayfabe", the decision was made to have Greg Valentine "break" Tito's leg and win the title in the process.
-Appeared on the March 30, 1985 episode of "Saturday Night Live" which was hosted by Hulk Hogan and Mr. T, his Wrestlemania opponents the next night.
-Part of the main event tag team match on the first Wrestlemania Card.
-Was on standby to be Hulk Hogan's opponent at WrestleMania III if Andre the Giant was not able to perform.
-After 1987, Paul left the wrestling world for several years, there were rumors circulating that he had passed away. In reality, he actually ran a popular bowling alley near Atlanta.
-Was supposed to be in the main event against Hulk Hogan on the first episode of WCW Monday Nitro
-Credited with creating the idea for an "invasion" of WCW that eventually became the nWo.
-From 1996-2000, he was a trainer at the WCW Power Plant
-In 2000, he suffered a stinger while delivering a piledriver on one of The Natural Born Thrillers and his in-ring career was ended.
