-The Spoiler headlined against WWWF champion Pedro Morales in Madison Square Garden. At the time, MSG had a rule barring masked wrestlers, so Jardine wrestled without his mask. The rule was in place for several years until Mil Mascaras made his MSG debut wearing a mask against an unmasked Jardine.
-Despite losing a Hair vs. Mask Match to Fritz Von Erich in WCCW in 1968, being unmasked by Billy Red Lyons and Red Bastien in Texas in 1972, and losing a Hair vs. Mask Match to Bret Hart in WWF in 1985, he continued wearing a mask for the rest of his career.
-The Spoiler retired from wrestling and lived with his wife in Wetaskiwin, Alberta, Canada
-He was a manager of a car wash and wrote poetry
-He sculpted in clay and carved faces in the bark of cotton wood trees
-He also volunteered for the Literacy Program teaching young children to read.
-Was Best Man in Gary Hart's wedding in 1968
