-Before The Midnight Express broke up in 1990, Lane was briefly considered for membership in the Four Horsemen. He and Bobby Eaton, as the Midnight Express, were supposed to join Ric Flair and Arn Anderson in the group. Their contract was supposed to be sold to Woman by Jim Cornette (who would have then retired from managing and joined the broadcast booth permanently). All this was approved by Jim Herd and the booking committee, but before it could be put into effect, Herd backtracked on the idea, which ultimately led to Lane and Cornette leaving WCW.
