  1. Karbo won a tournament to become the inaugural champion sometime before June 23, 1969.
  2. There appears to be a break in the title history. No information is available on who Chuck Karbo loses the title to or who Hodge wins it from, but Hodge wins it sometime prior to March, 1970.
  3. Watts left the Tri-State area as the champion. Tri-State declared the title vacant, but Watts continued to defend the title in Georgia & Florida. He would drop it to Buddy Colt on May 4, 1974. Bob Armstrong then defeated Colt for the title on June 8, 1974. Colt reclaimed the title sometime in February of 1975. The title was awarded back to Watts when Colt's career is ended in a plane crash on February 21, 1975.
  4. Morgan defeated Dewey Robertson for the vacant title
  5. This match unifies the Tri-State version of the title with the one held by Watts from his tenure in Georgia & Florida.
  6. The Brute is awarded the title after filling in for The Spoiler in title defenses. He will defeat the Spoiler to rightfully claim the title sometime in December of 1976
  7. The title was held up following a controversial ending in a match against Dick Murdoch on Jun 13. Watts def. Hansen for the held-up title in a match where Pat O'Connor was special referee.
  8. Ladd forfeited the match and the title to Candy.
  9. The title changed hands on an NWA card in Atlanta, GA. Wrestling II had promised to unmask in the middle of the ring if he did't win the title. This title became the MSW North American Title in August, 1979.

  1. Madrid & Tillet were the TSW Southwestern Tag Team Champions. This might be the same title or it might be a replacement title. That is unclear.
  2. At some point the titles are vacated by Madrid & Tillet. Watts & Kozak def. The Masked Bolos for the vacant titles.
  3. Watts & Kozak are no longer champions sometime after September 30, 1963. It is not known how Krauser & Pulaski become champions.
  4. Graham & Kozak might be champions as early as June, 1964 as there are records of them participating in a title match, but no results of that match are listed, nor are champions indicated.
  5. The titles are vacant by April, 1966. The Assassins def. The Great Matsuda & Stan Kowalski in a tournament final for the vacant titles. The Tulsa World reported that on December 12, 1965, Jack Brisco & Lou Thesz def. The Assassins for the titles, but this title change does not appear in any other history for this title, so it is presumed to be overturned sometimes shortly thereafter.
  6. The titles were held up on April 14 following a match against the Red Raiders (Dick Dunn & Billy Garrett). The Assassins won a rematch to reclaim the belts.
  7. It is not known why the title is vacant. Hodge & Akbar def. Chati Yokouchi & Chuck Karbo in a tournament for the vacant titles. It is also unknown how they lose them.
  8. It is unknown who Hodge & Parente win the titles from.
  9. This was a 2-out-of-3 Falls Match
  10. The titles are vacated when Dutch Savage leaves the area. Presumably, the Blondes win a tournament for the vacant titles.
  11. Initially, The Kentuckians replace Bill Watts & Billy Red Lyons in a Best of 5 Falls Match against Von Erich & Von Brauner. The titles were stripped from them until they defeated the former champions in a decisive manner.
  12. Garvin & Myers will defeat Jones & Mantell and The Continental Warriors on Sep 4, 1972 in a tournament to end the controversy over who the rightful tag team champions are.
  13. The title history becomes unclear here. It's unknown how Fuji & Yokouchi lose the belts or how Garvin & Myers win them.
  14. The title history again becomes unclear here. It's unknown how Garvin & Myers lose the belts or how Yokouchi & Fuji regain them.
  15. During this reign, Sweetan & Stanke def. Rocket Monroe & Bob Kelly to unify the TSW United States Tag Team Titles with the Gulf Coast Wrestling United States Tag Team Titles.
  16. Kox & Murdoch split up in December 1975 and the belts are vacated. Watts & Valentine defeat The Hollywood Blondes (Jerry Brown & Dale Valentine) in a tournament for the vacant titles.
  17. Bill Watts is injured and Valentine chooses George as his replacement partner.
  18. Apparently there is a breakup between Kox & Sweetan. Kox & Patera def. Sweetan & Randy Tyler to claim the titles.
  19. Apparently there is a split between Dr. X & Porkchop Cash. Dr. X & Negro def. Cash & Ray Candy to claim the titles.
  20. It is unknown why The Brute replaced Ciclon Negro.
  21. The titles were declared vacant after a title rematch of George & Tyler vs. Jerry Brown & Bobby Jaggers. Rhodes & Andre def. Stan Hansen & Ernie Ladd in a 10 Team Tournament to win the vacant titles.
  22. Rhodes chooses The Spoiler as his replacement on the team.
  23. The title is vacated on August 17, 1979 when Robley is injured by Angelo Mosca. Okina & Harris win a tournament for the vacant titles.
  24. The Gilberts are the last U.S. Tag Team Champions. The belts are then renamed the Tri-State Tag Team Titles.
