  1. Karbo won a tournament to become the inaugural champion sometime before June 23, 1969.
  2. There appears to be a break in the title history. No information is available on who Chuck Karbo loses the title to or who Hodge wins it from, but Hodge wins it sometime prior to March, 1970.
  3. Watts left the Tri-State area as the champion. Tri-State declared the title vacant, but Watts continued to defend the title in Georgia & Florida. He would drop it to Buddy Colt on May 4, 1974. Bob Armstrong then defeated Colt for the title on June 8, 1974. Colt reclaimed the title sometime in February of 1975. The title was awarded back to Watts when Colt's career is ended in a plane crash on February 21, 1975.
  4. Morgan defeated Dewey Robertson for the vacant title
  5. This match unifies the Tri-State version of the title with the one held by Watts from his tenure in Georgia & Florida.
  6. The Brute is awarded the title after filling in for The Spoiler in title defenses. He will defeat the Spoiler to rightfully claim the title sometime in December of 1976
  7. Ladd forfeited the match and the title to Candy.
  8. The title changed hands on an NWA card in Atlanta, GA. Wrestling II had promised to unmask in the middle of the ring if he did't win the title. This title became the MSW North American Title in August, 1979.

  2. The title history after Jones' second win is unclear. It is not known how Jones lost the title or how George came into possession of it.
  3. It is not certain that Sweetan is the last champion for the promotion. Tri-State closes down in 1982.

  1. Madrid & Tillet were the TSW Southwestern Tag Team Champions. This might be the same title or it might be a replacement title. That is unclear.
  2. Kozak & Watts lose the titles, but there are no indications about who they lose it to. Graham does not replace Watts. Graham & Kozak might be champions as early as June, 1964 as there are records of them participating in a title match, but no results of that match are listed, nor are champions indicated.
  3. The titles are vacant by April, 1966. The Assassins def. The Great Matsuda & Stan Kowalski in a tournament final for the vacant titles. The Tulsa World reported that on December 12, 1965, Jack Brisco & Lou Thesz def. The Assassins for the titles, but this title change does not appear in any other history for this title, so it is presumed to be overturned sometimes shortly thereafter.
  4. The titles were held up on April 14 following a match against the Red Raiders (Dick Dunn & Billy Garrett). The Assassins won a rematch to reclaim the belts.
  5. It is not known why the title is vacant. Hodge & Akbar def. Chati Yokouchi & Chuck Karbo in a tournament for the vacant titles. It is also unknown how they lose them.
  6. It is unknown who Hodge & Parente win the titles from.
  7. This was a 2-out-of-3 Falls Match
  8. The titles are vacated when Dutch Savage leaves the area. Presumably, the Blondes win a tournament for the vacant titles.
  9. Initially, The Kentuckians replace Bill Watts & Billy Red Lyons in a Best of 5 Falls Match against Von Erich & Von Brauner. The titles were stripped from them until they defeated the former champions in a decisive manner.
  10. Garvin & Myers will defeat Jones & Mantell and The Continental Warriors on Sep 4, 1972 in a tournament to end the controversy over who the rightful tag team champions are.
  11. The title history becomes unclear here. It's unknown how Fuji & Yokouchi lose the belts or how Garvin & Myers win them.
  12. The title history again becomes unclear here. It's unknown how Garvin & Myers lose the belts or how Yokouchi & Fuji regain them.
  13. During this reign, Sweetan & Stanke def. Rocket Monroe & Bob Kelly to unify the TSW United States Tag Team Titles with the Gulf Coast Wrestling United States Tag Team Titles.
  14. Kox & Murdoch split up in December 1975 and the belts are vacated. Watts & Valentine defeat The Hollywood Blondes (Jerry Brown & Dale Valentine) in a tournament for the vacant titles.
  15. Bill Watts is injured and Valentine chooses George as his replacement partner.
  16. Apparently there is a breakup between Kox & Sweetan. Kox & Patera def. Sweetan & Randy Tyler to claim the titles.
  17. Apparently there is a split between Dr. X & Porkchop Cash. Dr. X & Negro def. Cash & Ray Candy to claim the titles.
  18. It is unknown why The Brute replaced Ciclon Negro.
  19. The titles were declared vacant after a title rematch of George & Tyler vs. Jerry Brown & Bobby Jaggers. Rhodes & Andre def. Stan Hansen & Ernie Ladd in a 10 Team Tournament to win the vacant titles.
  20. Rhodes chooses The Spoiler as his replacement on the team.
  21. The title is vacated on August 17, 1979 when Robley is injured by Angelo Mosca. Okina & Harris win a tournament for the vacant titles.
  22. The Gilberts are the last U.S. Tag Team Champions. The belts are then renamed the Tri-State Tag Team Titles.

  2. The titles were vacated when Tommy Gilbert was injured. Hill & Orndorff won a tournament for the vacant titles.
  3. Titles held up following a match pitting Hill & Orndorff vs. Jerry Brown & Ron McFarlane. Brown & McFarlane win a rematch for the held up titles.
  4. The title history again becomes unclear here. It is not known how Gilbert & Morton lose the titles or how the Deatons come into possession of them.
  5. Cash & Somers split up at some point in 1981 and vacate the title. Bey & Toro win a tournament for the vacant titles. It is uncertain if they are the last champions or not. Tri-State wrestling closes in 1982.

  1. Larock defeats Sandor Kovacs. It is possible that this is not for this version of the U.S. Junior Heavyweight Title, but the records are unclear.
  2. Itīs not clear how Larock lost the title or to whom. Itīs also unclear how Baxter came into possession of it. This title reign occurred sometime in the 1960s.
  3. This title reign occurred sometime in the 1960s
  4. Donovan appears to be the last person to lay claim to this title as it is phased out sometime in the 1960s.

  1. Starr is the earliest known champion, although no information is available regarding how he became champion.
  2. There is no information available regarding how Wiki came into possession of this title, but it is not believed that he won it from Starr.
  3. No information is available regarding how Kent lost the title, or how Brisco acquired or lost it. No further champions are listed either, so presumably, the title was discontinued sometime after Brisco won it. Some title history pages try to claim that this title is the same as the NWA-OK Oklahoma Title, but that isn't the case.

  1. There is no indication as to how Watts became champion.
  2. The title history becomes unclear at this point. It is unknown how Tyler lost the title or how Sweetan won it.
  3. It's unknown how Bobby Jaggers lost the title. Patterson defeated Stan Hansen for what is presumably the vacant title, as Hansen was not billed as the champion in the match.
  4. It is not known how Patterson lost the title. He did not lose it to Bass. Bass defeated Karl Kox, although Kox was not the champion at the time, so this was probably a tournament final.
  5. The title history becomes unclear here again. It is not known how Mosca lost the title or how Watts acquired it.
  6. The title history once again becomes unclear here. It is not known how Watts lost the title or how Fargo won it. It is also uncertain whether Fargo is the last champion. The Tri-State promotion closes in 1982.

  3. Some records indicate this title change occurred as early as May 11, 1962.
  4. The Dalton Brothers are verified as being champions through July 30, 1962, but lost the belts sometime after that to an unknown team. There's a break in the title histories here and no information is available about who Madrid & Tillet defeat for the titles. There is also a dispute on the history of this title, as it might have been discontinued or it might have been referred to dually as the Southwestern Tag Team Titles and the TSW United States Tag Team Titles.
