  7. Von Erich vacated the title sometime before May 1970. Malenko def. Mil Mascaras for the vacant title.
  8. Title awarded when Valentine leaves World Class for Japan
  9. Title awarded when McDaniel is injured
  10. Title held up 12-20-80 following a match with Kevin Von Erich. Kerry Von Erich substituted for his injured brother Kevin and def. Gino Hernandez in a rematch to win the held up title
  11. Von Erich def. Bundy for the title in a No DQ match where falls counted anywhere in Texas Stadium and Bundy's manager Gary Hart was banned from the facility.
  12. Von Erich retires immediately following title win and vacates the title. Bundy is awarded the title the day after Von Erich's retirement.
  13. Title held up 7-11-83 following a match against Jimmy Garvin
  14. Garvin def. Kevin Von Erich in a rematch to win held up title.
  15. World Class seceded from the NWA. Title renamed World Class Championship Wrestling World Heavyweight Title.

  2. Black Bart may have been awarded the title due to Adams going on trial for assaulting an airline co-pilot. Title change allegedly happened in Los Angeles, CA, outside the home base of World Class.
  3. Perez won title from Von Erich by forfeit
  4. Fujinami won title when the referee rules Von Erich was bleeding too heavily to continue.
  5. Fujinami was unsatisfied with the result and returned the belt to Von Erich.
  6. Lawler def. Von Erich in a Title Unification Match. Title then unified with the AWA World Heavyweight Title and renamed the Unified World Title. Title held up during a match with Kerry Von Erich on April 5, 1989.
  7. Lawler def. Kerry Von Erich in a rematch to win held up title. During this reign, on August 4, 1989, World Class Championship Wrestling merged with Continental Wrestling Association to form the United States Wrestling Alliance.

  4. Dan Miller was injured by Johnny Valentine and is replaced by Curry. Title vacated sometime before June 1969 when Valentine injured Curry.
