  1. Defeated Mr. Wrestling II on February 12, 1979 for what was known as the North American Title. Title was renamed the North American Heavyweight Title in September 1979 and sanctioned by Mid-South Wrestling.
  2. DiBiase def. Dog for the title in a No DQ/Title-vs-MSW-Career Match
  3. Lee vacated the title in February 1983 when he left MSW. JYD def. Mr. Olympia in a tournament final for the vacant title.
  4. On October 12th, Magnum T. A. apparently defeated Butch Reed for the title after Reed selected T. A to defend against. On October 24, Nikloai Volkoff def. Magnum T. A, which also apparently resulted in a title change. However, that same day, the MSW board of directors declared that neither of these matches was sanctioned by the MSW Board of Directors and both title changes were invalid. The title was then returned to Reed.
  5. During this reign, The Nightmare was also referred to as The Masked Champion and the Champion
  6. Duggan defeated Buzz Sawyer when Sawyer was forced by Bill Watts to defend the North American title in Dick Slater's place. The title was abandoned in May 1986 when Mid-South was renamed the Universal Wrestling Federation.

  1. Mike George & Buck Robley were the final two wrestlers in a Battle Royal, which turned into singles match which was won by George, who won the titles for himself and Sweetan.
  2. It's unknown when or how Ladd & Brown get the titles back.
  3. Junkyard Dog & Dick Murdoch were stripped of the titles when Bill Watts is ruled to have been an unacceptable referee in title match. Grappler & Super Destroyer defeated Dog & Murdoch in a tournament for the vacant titles.
  4. This was a Steel Cage match
  5. Magnum TA & Mr. Wrestling II def. Reed & Niedhart in a Steel Cage Match where II’s mask was also on the line.
  6. The Midnight Express def. Magnum TA & Mr. Wrestling II in a "Loser Receives 10 Lashes With A Whip" Match. Mr. Wrestling II abandoned Magnum during the match.
  7. The Midnight Express def. The Rock-N-Roll Express for the titles in a No DQ Match
  8. DiBiase & Williams def. Gilbert & Dick Murdoch, substituting for The Nightmare who had left Mid-South area. Mid-South renamed Universal Wrestling Federation in March 1986. Titles renamed UWF Tag Team Titles.

  1. This title had originally been controlled by TSW, but in August of 1979 became an MSWA title.
  2. Ladd def. Sharpe for the title in a No DQ match
  3. JYD def. Gordy for the title in a No DQ Match.
  4. JYD was injured by the Freebirds and forced to vacate the title on June 9, 1980. Mantell defeated Wahoo McDaniel in a tournament final for the belt.
  5. JYD was forced to vacate the Louisiana Title when he won the MSW North American Title. Khan defeated JYD in a tournament final to become champion.
  6. Duggan is the last champion as the title is retired in 1983.
