Greetings everyone and thanks for the visit to the world's loneliest website! Lots of catch up on so let's cease burning daylight...

Excited about this week's Ross Report podcast featuring Wrestling Observer's head honcho Dave Meltzer and we cover tons of ground on this week's show that drops as usual at 9 PM ET/6f PM PT tonight (Tuesday) on www.podcastone.com and @ApplePodcasts. We talk: The Mae Young Classic, @WWE Raw, Impact, McGregor-Mayweather, ROH, NJPW G1 Tournament, @AXSTV and much more including many of your questions from Twitter @JRsBBQ.

Subscribe to The Ross Report for free at ApplePodcasts and never miss a show as they will be automatically downloaded into the device of your choice. Takes about 2 minutes to subscribe, leave a comment and a five star rating. We appreciate your support. Thanks!

Loved being a part of the Mae Young Classic that saw me in Orlando for six days last week interviewing all 32 women representing 13 countries plus Lita and I called 30 bouts over two nights. I've never been in a pro wresting environment where there was so much natural passion and motivation from the roster whose only agenda was to have great matches and take a giant step forward in building women's wrestling.

I talk about 'The Mae' on this week's podcast and will share that I never dreamed of how personally impactful this event would become to me until I became immersed in it throughout the interview process on Monday and Tuesday. I enjoyed working with @AmyDumas and @Madusa_rocks very much. I fed off their passion without question and you will hear it if you listen to our broadcast.

As I understand it, the reason the broadcasts will begin airing August 28 instead of sooner is because the shows need through, post production/editing to add all the elements that are needed with the tournament format and personality profiles, etc. The finals will be live on the WWE Network on Tuesday night September 12 from Las Vegas following SD Live.

I'm guessing that several women will likely earn a WWE contract based on their performances in the tournament.

Tickets are still available for our RINGSIDE Shows coming to the @DCImprov on Thursday August 10 and Friday August 18 at the @GothamComedyClub in NYC. This includes a handful of VIP meet/greet/photos tickets that we enjoy prior to the shows starting. For ticket info, visit www.dcimprov.com and www.gothamcomedyclub and join us. You can also use the links available to you here on our homepage.

@JerryLawler and I will reunite for one day only on Saturday August 12 at the Icons of Wrestling fan fest in Philly at the 2300 Arena, formerly the ECW Arena. We will be signing and taking photos with fans from 10 am - 2 pm only.

Might just be me but after watching the Rene Young interview, nicely done BTW, with Kurt Angle and his 'son' Jason Jordan on the @WWENetwork after RAW, I can easily see where Jordan and 'Dad" could be terrific villains down the road.

Based on what I saw Monday night on Raw regarding Braun Strowman, I can easily see WWE going all the way with the giant athlete from North Carolina. A Lesnar-Strowman high level contest down the road is going to make a compelling main event and could elevate Strowman to the rarified air community.

Seems to me, simply by watching as fan, that when Braun walked away from the ambulance crash of a few weeks ago, that he walked away as a 'character 'face' or a least that's how I took it. Bottom line, it will be challenging for many fans to truly dislike this huge man. WWE has done a really nice job building Strowman to his current level.

BTW...we will have JR's sauces and more at our August events in @DCImprov, @GothamComedyClub and at the Philly Icons of Wrestling event on Saturday August 12. Good time to take advantage of no shipping opportunities.

Heading to Waterloo, Iowa this weekend to MC the annual banquet for the Thesz-Tragos Museum Saturday night. This is always a great time and one of the best kept secrets within the business IMO. This is one of the most intimate, fan friendly events that any fan can attend.

Stock up on JR's deliciousness with easy online shopping at www.wweshop.com and in the U.K., Ireland and Europe from www.americansoda.co.uk. Thanks!

Remember that Ingles Markets stocks JR's in all their stores throughout the southeast USA. Proud of our partnership.

@JoshLBarnett and I are looking forward to broadcasting many of the G1 bouts from NJPW on AXSTV coming up soon. But some folks likely will never be happy because we're not Kevin Kelly or Don Callis who do a good job for New Japan World. We feel our work holds up to anyone's currently broadcasting pro wrestling. That's our story and we're damn sure sticking to it. Why wouldn't we?

Here's hoping that you have a great day and are motivated to do positive things for others. Remember to maximize life's minutes.

Check out @davemeltzerWON on this week's Ross Report podcast. You'll enjoy it.

Boomer Sooner!
