Arrow Club Crosses All Bounds Of Decency In Attack On IWR Commissioner

Arrow Club Crosses All Bounds Of Decency In Attack On IWR Commissioner

Posted: May 26th 2017 By: C. M. Burnham

Pride. Arrogance. Outrageous behaviour and opinion. All of these things sum up the Arrow Club. Since their formation in December of 2016, Kyle Hawk and Ky-Ote have made it clear to everyone who will listen that IWR is, in their words, their reservation. And woe betide anyone who tries to tell them what to do on it.

The one man with the power and authority to tell them what to do is IWR commissioner Eddie Adamson. And to help him with that, Adamson recently recruited Marshall and Ross Von Erich, the sons of Kevin Von Erich. As the IWR event in Ardmore began on the afternoon of March 21st, Adamson addressed the crowd who had assembled and quickly summed up the history and importance of the Von Erich name. And that was all it took to bring the Arrow Club front and centre. They were quick to remind Adamson that it was not 1985 anymore, but it was 2017, the year of the Arrow Club. And rather than live off their parents name (as they claimed the Von Erichs were doing), they pointed out that they made their own name (conveniently ignoring that they adapted their name from the more well known Bullet Club). As usual, the pride and arrogance was overflowing in the ring and that prompted Eddie Adamson to ask a very simple question:

How confident do you feel?

It was a key question because, as he probably suspected, the Arrow Cub responded that they were supremely confident that they would defeat the Von Erichs in the main event that night. And that is when Adamson played his hidden card. He suggested that, if they were as confident as they claimed, the Arrow Club would put up not only the IWR Tag Team Titles, but also the Total Championship Wrestling Tag Team Titles that they held. Immediately Kyle Hawk started backpedaling, but Ky-Ote had no problem accepting the challenge, a move that seemed to draw some concern from Hawk. But Adamson considered that a verbal contract and announced that the main event would now feature TWO titles at stake. The Arrow Club prepared to leave, but before going back to the locker room, awk made it clear that when they won, they would scalp Adamson for his actions.

When it was time for the main event, the atmosphere was absolutely electric and when the strains of Stranglehold played through the H. F. V Wilson Community Centre, everyone knew that the Von Erichs were on their way. The Arrow Club may have said it was not 1985, but you could not have told from the reaction of the fans. And Ross and Marshall had no intention of letting those fans down. They knew they had to out think the most cunning team in IWR. They knew that the Arrow Club would take advantage of all situations. And the Von Erichs were certainly up to the task. Despite Ross being isolated in the ring for quite some time, after making the tag to Marshall, the larger Von Erich caught Ky-Ote in a Claw Bomb and was pinned. The Von Erichs continued the tradition established by their grandfather Fritz, becoming dual tag team champions!

But after the celebration was over, things really broke down. Humiliated beyond any understanding, the Arrow Club carried out an attack on ringside security, something that appears to be a repeated pattern of behaviour. But it went beyond any sense of decency when they brutally attacked Eddie Adamson! Adamson was busted open and spurting geysers of blood, but that was not enough for the Arrow Club as they pulled out scissors and prepared to follow through on their promise to scalp the commissioner in retaliation for his actions. Thankfully, the arrival of the Von Erichs, the Terror Squad, IWR Champion Jerry Bostic and others prevented this heinous action from taking place, but damage was certainly done as Adamson had to be assisted from the arena to a local medical facility for treatment.

The Arrow Club have vowed revenge, concentrating specifically on the IWR event in Dallas on June 4. But IWR has several dates in Texas planned for this weekend and the next and it seems quite likely the paths of the Arrow Club and the Von Erichs will cross. Some sort of retribution is sure to be carried out in those meetings. The question is: who will be the beneficiary?
